I have been a customer of Asia Grill for a couple of years now and it’s high time I write a review for them. Asia Grill is a Asian / Chinese restaurant in Peoria , Illinois located in Junction City. It is by far one of my favorite restaurants in the Peoria area. They staff are very friendly and accommodating when placing an order with them. The Asia Grill chef is willing to add or subtract ingredients to the dish you order and is also willing to plus or minus the spicey heat factor if you wish to do so which I greatly appreciate.
Asia Grill has also remodeled their dining area which is now very warm and inviting. I highly recommend eating in their new dining room which has booths and tables available for your preference.
The service and food is OUTSTANDING ! Our waiter Lee was an excellent waiter and so willing to please. The food was served hot with surprisingly generous portions. It’s best to dine in if you have the time to sit and relax but food is always available To Go !
The owner was so sweet and genuine to me and my friend. She actually came out of the kitchen just to take time out to say hello to us as my friend has been a customer of hers for many years.
You can’t go wrong ordering food from Asia Grill it is a 5 STAR establishment all the way !

Served sizzling hot crab rangoon, clearly fresh. Then our main course arrived quickly and was just as fresh and delicious. Chicken Katsu was fantastic, the crispy fried coating crackles on your fork. Paired with fresh white rice, and their sauce it is perfect. The portions are great, enough for another meal at least, especially with the miso soup and salad that’s included. My girlfriend got orange chicken with rice, which was very fresh and flavorful. Even the sake had generous portions! Would recommend 100% the food justifies the prices (which are still affordable! 15.50 for 2 chicken breasts worth of Katsu, salad, fresh miso soup, and an entire bowl of white rice!)

Love that they now have a Vegan menu with some creative and new dishes. And they are open to customizing a dish, which is wonderful. Food is tasty, fresh and satisfying. Their tofu lettuce wraps are yummy, and they provided such crisp leaves of lettuce! They can ease up on the salt and go easy on the sauces to let the fresh veggies shine is my only criticism. They fulfill orders fast too!

I ordered the “House Special fried rice”, Pad Thai noodles, and chicken skewers. My friend ordered the “Shrimp fried rice”.
Both the house special and the shrimp fried rice were very bland. They had no taste. The shrimp, pork and other proteins that was put on the fried rice was not cooked all the way. Everything on both of the dishes tasted raw. Additionally, the texture of the fried rice was rough. The fried rice was a bit hard to chew. All in all 0/10 for the house special fried rice. And my friend gives their shrimp fried rice a 0/10 as well. A complete let down and waste of money on the fried rice.
The Pad Thai was too oily and saucy, it also had an overpowering taste of coconut oil in it. But at least it had some kind of seasoning and taste, so I will give it a 3/10 on the pad Thai. Waste of money on the Pad Thai too.
The chicken skewers tasted good. The seasoning on it was tasty. But the skewers were not cooked all the way through. The outside looks golden brown but the inside is very pale white, which tells me that the chicken didn’t cook for enough time. Plus it was hard to bite into the chicken, the texture was rough and chewy. But other than that, the taste was the best of my entire meal at this “Asian Grill”. I will give the chicken skewers 8/10.
The service was great though, the server that took our order was nice. The atmosphere was great too. I walked into this restaurant, hungry and in anticipation to eat delicious Asian food, but I left disappointed.
I hope the chefs at this establishment learns and improves their skills in cooking, especially the basic and popular Asian fried rice.

I have recently discovered this restaurant. The first time I ate there I had the Pai Tai. It was good, but did not like the sauce on it. It was like a mayo/alfredo type sauce. I like just the traditional Pai Tai sauce. I have been back several times. I have had the Szechuan Beef. Excellent… States Hot, but I did not find hot. Just a little spice. General Tso’s chicken Amazing. Egg drop soup, yum, egg rolls are good. The crab rangoon———-best around. When I lived in Florida the restaurant by me there put little bits of onion in the crab rangoon. That was good also. I have bragged to all my friends and family how good the food is, wait staff and overall experience.

I had The Sesame Chicken, Thai Fried Rice, Pepper Steak, Dumplings, and Rangoon and Eggroll. 1st the Sesame Chicken was bland but crispy, nothing special. 6/10. 2nd The Thai Fried Rice was delicious just needed more shrimp and chicken, they our very stingy on the meat. There was 5 pieces of small shrimp and 4 pieces of chicken. 8/10. 3rd the Pepper Steak was old but flavorful I ate it the next day and it made my stomach hurt. 3/10. Last the Dumplings were good just regular. 7/10. Rangoons were good but there was no imagination crab in it. 5/10. Eggrolls were great. 8/10. All that food cost me 40 dollars not bad at all. Food Game 5/10. Price Game 10/10. Portion Game 8/10. Overall Asia Grill 6/10. I’ll come back for the Thai Fried Rice.

I ordered take out on Christmas and I got my order within 5 minutes! The staff was professional and amazingly gracious with it being Christmas! After having that wonderful experience, I then ate the food that was equally wonderful! I would highly recommend Asia Grill!

Great experience, fast, tasty, and fresh ingredients. Not your typical Asian/Chinese restaurant. Could have a little be more flavor, but I like stronger than normal spiced foods. Would definitely go back to try out some more of their menu. It is fairly priced as well. My only critical issue was that the steamed dumplings were luke warm, but flavor was on point!
