I can’t single out just one or two items, as the entire menu—which was traditional vegetarian food—was incredibly delicious. The desserts were yummy and outstanding too. I strongly recommend to try once .

The food was absolutely PERFECT. Fresh naan brought out. The Paneer Marsala and chicken kooma were some of my favorites.
The service was graceful. From being seated to water, to them anticipating the need for a clean spoon.
And the price point was really amazing.

The food was truly phenomenal! I came here with my family for a birthday and the service was excellent. The owner and staff were really friendly and caring. Ashoka is one of the better Indian restaurants in the area. I went there on the Friday during Diwali. There was a lot more people than before, and the food was very good but the assorted appetizers could I’ve been a little bit more fast. They were a little bit soggy. The chicken tikka masala was very good and well spice the cauliflower dish was very crispy the mango lassi glass could’ve little bit bigger Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for a weeknight dinner the prices are much better than any other restaurants in the area.

Their buffet is a total scam. They have very few options and serve low-quality food. The tandoori chicken was dry and flavorless, and even the chicken biryani was terrible. They charge almost $18 per person for this kind of food, which is completely not worth it.I went with five friends, and my 7 year old daughter who didn’t even get a plate and only had a couple of spoonfuls of white rice, was charged $12. On top of that they added gratuity something most places don’t do for a buffet.Don’t waste your money eating here. Try somewhere else. This is an honest review from a very disappointed customer.

Indo Chinese fried rice is good . Chicken manchurian great. Kadai chicken could have improve and South Indian flavour not there .
Lamb options not available though.
Naan was bit salty. Free pappad nice. Ambiance same years now. Waiting staff did their job but can smile gave handsome tips but no one back to table and say thanks . Manager on duty not even say good night while leaving…not a big deal and can’t expect …
dinner price is bit expensive in few items. Buffet good better choice. We went mid week and has decent crowd. Overall getting same experience and one of the best option in Troy.

Visited for dinner. My experience has been great, the restaurant was almost empty when we visited so the service was very attentive. The restaurant looks clean and organized. The food was just perfect, it really fixed my itch for Indian food.
