After 21 Locks Brewery abruptly closed their doors on 12/31/25, Ashlynn Distillery stepped up to host their events, one of them being ours. We were not disappointed!! From GM Chris Sosa always being there to ask if we needed anything, to Event Manager Jenn Brady answering emails, questions, being there the entire event making sure everything was running smoothly, to Maddie our bartender. All 3 were personable, charismatic, welcoming and accommodating. The drinks (wine, beer and Summerseat Crush at our event) and food (pulled pork sandwiches and Fig-Arugula flatbread were favs) are all wonderful. We received many compliments on the event as a whole.
With regard to the bar/restaurant- have been there 3 times and the food and cocktails never disappoint! The Smoked Old Fashioned is a must for bourbon lovers! Thank you for your hospitality!

Very nice laid back vibe. Chicken wings are good with their homemade sauce from their own distilled spirits. Great place to ponder a book on dreams like Over Dinner and Other Strange Enchantments.

Updated from 5 stars to 4, since their takeout containers are neither compostable (preferred) nor recyclable). My wife & I decided to check this place out – I hadn’t been there since it was David’s Distillery. What a fun night! Delicious food, great live music (Cecil & Mike were fantastic, as were the guest singers – including staff). The outdoor tables were a little wet and the music (while fantastic) was a little loud indoors, and we might make different drink & food choices next time, but we definitely plan to return!

We live across the bridge and frequent Ashlynn once a month at least for date nights. We go primarily because it combines tasty food and unique cocktails in one location , which you can’t find in the Jersey side near us!
The breading on their fried options – calamari, zucchini sticks, etc is to die for and always the first thing I rave about and recommend to friends and family we visit with. I usually go with the berry salad as an entree, and they are always generous with the berries and goat cheese added.
The cocktails are tasty – unfortunately for me they usually lean on more whiskey and vodka options whereas I’m a gin and agave girl. Sometimes the bar gets backed up, we’ve found, which is understandable for craft cocktails but sometimes timing could be better on lining up with the kitchen’s pace. The servers are always delightful!
Indoor seating is sometimes a toss-up, I find the fans in the dining room cause a ‘flickering’ as they cross over the lights which can be distracting. We prefer to sit at the high tops by the entrance.
All in all, definitely try it out. Good food, good drinks, good service!

I got here during happy hour and the place was packed! I snagged the last spot at the bar, and though there was a little bit of a wait because it was so busy, I thoroughly enjoyed watching all of the craft cocktails being made. The two bartenders were insanely busy the first hour I was there, but made sure I was taken care of. The one bartender, I believe his name was Chris, put my drink back to the back of the bar when I had to use the restroom to ensure no one would tamper with it. The cocktails were amazing and they let me sample liquors I wasn’t sure of before ordering. The chicken parm sliders were delicious! Will definitely be back again!
Just wanna update* back again 5/18/25: Samantha was absolutely amazing and made a really tough night for me so much better. There was love music, amazing drinks, and laughs all around. I will come back here again and again.

We go here with friends when we can, it’s awesome! They have good gluten free flatbread. Also, I left my glasses behind one time when we went. We didn’t return until maybe three weeks later, and Jen, a waitress, remembered me and returned them to me. What a lady! Ask for her, she’s great.

If you’re a person of color looking for an enjoyable weekend night, don’t go here. We were treated like we were bothering everyone from the server to the bartender from the moment we walked in. 3 servers stared at us from across the restaurant when we first entered and shouted across the restaurant to seat ourselves. Our server came over and asked us something along the lines of “soo what do you want?” rather than, “Welcome, how’s it going? What can I get for you?” The server didn’t bring us the correct salad nor the correct meal in the way that we ordered it. She also sat down to eat her own meal with friends and took selfies right next to us as we kept trying to get her attention to order last drinks before they closed. A man that appeared to be the manager sat right beside us yawning VERY loudly as my friend and I held our conversation as if he were bored and annoyed by our presence. The bartender even repeatedly seemed bothered when she brought our drinks over to us, which was only 1 drink and we ordered 2. Someone from the kitchen cleaned a mop with a hose right near our table as we were eating. Unprofessional and unfriendly vibe from all of the staff. The atmosphere was NOT welcoming and I will never go back there again.

I was so excited to bring my friends to this distillery where I had had excellent cocktails in the past. We went on a Saturday night and we’re looking forward to them. Also having live music. I had the burrata salad which was absolutely fantastic, I just wish I took a picture before I started to cut it up because it was gorgeously plated. My friends got the pretzel bites and the mozzarella triangles as well as a round of cocktails. Everything was fantastic including our server, Alexa…. Ask for her if you go, she is wonderful!!
Unfortunately, the music was awful. I really wish we could have stayed longer and tried other cocktails but we had to get out of there immediately. As a musician, I love to support places that promote and support live music, but I’m tired of people hiring what seem to be their friends and not good music. It completely ruined the night. The bar manager was doing a set when we got there, and it felt like he was just screaming at us the whole time and all the songs he sang sounded exactly the same. When he was finally done, the person who was billed to play there that night started on the keyboards and singing and it actually got worse…
I’ll still go back for the cocktails, service and food, but will now make sure to pay attention to who’s playing that night.
