Family Owned and Operated Since 1993 Our founders are husband and wife Bob and Kristen who have been building local businesses in the Bay Area for over 50 years. It was in 1993 they decided to open their first restaurant, and Ascona Pizza Company was born. We hand-make our dough daily, using our secret family recipe, and every ingredient we use is the highest quality available. We want to provide our customers with the best pizza and customer service, where our staff knows your family, as well as your favorite pizza.

We’re in the bay area again and yep, you guessed it! We’re eating the world’s best pizza at Asconas! We drive 50 miles when in the bay area just to savor this pizza! Tonight, another Matterhorn combo. If you are within a 100 miles, it’s worth the drive!
Food is absolutely the best and the service can’t be beat! Miguel and his crew set the bar for customer service!
Absolutely the best pizza I’ve ever eaten, and I have had a lot of pizza! Service is great and I hear the chicken wings are beyond compare.
Miguel is a first class manager and this gentleman knows customer service!
Yep, do yourself a flavor favor and getcha some!
Before heading over (two families driving separately), I called to confirm whether dogs were allowed. The staff member told me dogs were not permitted inside but that we could sit on the patio. I specifically asked whether the patio had heaters or a heated area, and I was clearly told yes.
When we arrived, we were informed that the heaters could not be turned on because they were out of propane. While I understand that things happen, this was frustrating given that we had confirmed the heater availability before making the trip.
I spoke with the manager, Spencer, to clarify the situation. He stated that the hostess “didn’t know” and mentioned that they are students. He also said that they have “never used the heaters,” which is not accurate — we have personally dined there with the patio heaters running. More disappointing was that he largely ignored the fact that we had been given incorrect information over the phone and did not take ownership of the miscommunication.
The issue wasn’t the propane. The issue was the dismissive and unprofessional response when the concern was brought to management’s attention.
We genuinely enjoy the food and have supported this business for years, but customer service and accountability matter just as much as great pizza. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so loyal customers don’t experience the same frustration
But the terrible pizza is the least of your worries. Curious about the business, I checked their Instagram page. What I discovered was kind of shocking: the owner, an older white-haired man, uses the platform to post overtly racist and bizarrely threatening comments aimed squarely at a new café that recently opened next door [October 2025]. Like, literally on the business’s page–I couldn’t believe it. This guy isn’t just running a business; he’s openly engaging in racism and neighborly bullying. Given the toxic conduct, I cannot support this establishment and caution others to stay away. Buy a latte from the neighbor instead!
Great deals everyday and always a different deal too.
