I went there last night for V-day bill totaling $89 , which would be perfectly fine if the service was not terrible. I ordered 2 drinks, a pepsi and a french 75 both tasted watered down. My waiter tended to everyone else in the section but when we ordered a lemonade in place of the pepsi we never received it. I ordered a sandwich to go and it was dry and over cooked unlike the one i bought while dining in. The crab fritters were the best part of the meal. At the end my server had the nerve to ask me if i needed my change. Absolutely.

I came to Asbury Ale House with a 17 person party to celebrate my birthday during brunch time. We were seated in the very back and on the opposite side, away from the other patrons, which was great but it also felt as though we did not receive enough service due to being away from everyone else.

The food didn’t take too long to come out and the portions were good but the taste was just okay. We did experience a couple missing items (side of avocado and chimichurri) and brought this to the server’s attention. For the chimichurri, we were told that it didn’t come with the steak because they didn’t have it anymore so they didn’t include it in our meal. We should have been told this before the food came out or even right after it was set on the table. We were offered a replacement sauce (pico de gallo) just to find out that it cost extra and had to explain that it should be free as a replacement to the chimichurri. The manager was able to comp the pico and apologized.

At the end of the meal, I was also surprised to not receive any acknowledgement that I was celebrating my birthday (which I marked on the reservation).

Once I received the receipt, I noticed that we were also charged extra for the missing side of avocado and an extra sauce. This was not disclosed to us prior.

I can see why this place would be popular due to the atmosphere but the food and service here would not have me coming back, especially with a large party.

The hostess and servers are good, there was a bit of a wait but thats to be expected for the dinner rush. We didn’t wait too long maybe 15 mins and asked if we wanted shade or sun.

The food was okay. My boyfriend and I had lobster rolls and both were soggy and falling apart. they weren’t stuffed with that much lobster in it either. Pretty disappointing considering it cost $20 + . we both had Lobster rolls and beer ending check was $80 . Probably wouldn’t come back to this place for the food. maybe the drinks . but thats about it

Every Saturday they have bingo for lunch. The amount of different styles and breweries on tap is impressive. All of the staff are usually nice. I usually get local IPA’s and they offer Head High by KANE. Also located in Asbury Park. This is great because it is always fresh. The seating is vast and the locals love it here. I’m sure you will enjoy a quick drink, cocktail or meal here. The atmosphere is so visually appealing you will feel like you stepped into an old world tavern once you come inside. Enjoy yourselves, because we did. Overall, go see for yourself and tell me otherwise.
Oh yeah, if you win at the bingo, they have prizes, it’s not just for fun to pass some time. It’s kinda cool too because it gives you common ground to be able to open up a conversation with strangers sitting adjacent to you. Good luck

This is just another place that I discovered on where else, but on Instagram. Since I initially liked what I saw on social media, I stopped in for a couple of drinks this weekend, so this review is not based on the food. It is based on the service, drinks, and overall ambiance.

As soon as I walked in, I immediately loved the vibe. The place was huge inside, so it could really hold large crowds. They also provide plenty of outdoor seating. They have TVs all around the restaurant to watch sporting events, and they have some games. I sat at the bar, and I ordered the coco colada and white sangria. Both drinks were great and were reasonably priced. My bartender (who I didn’t get his name) was very friendly.

Since this place left a great first-time impression, I will definitely come back, and next time, I will try something from the food menu.

Asbury Ale House is a great spot. The restaurant was extremely clean and well maintained, and the staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Everyone was attentive and made sure we were comfortable throughout our visit. The food came out quickly, was fresh, and tasted excellent. Overall, it was a very pleasant dining experience, and I would definitely recommend Asbury Ale House to anyone looking for great food and great service.

We had a great meal at the new Asbury Ale House in Howell NJ. The drinks are creative and smokin…..literally.
We enjoyed buffalo wings as an appetizer. They were crispy and coated with sauce. My wife enjoyed a goat salad with shrimp and I had the linguine with meatballs. Both were good.
The best thing about our experience at Asbury Ale House is our server, Vicky. She is wonderful.

Went with family to grab a quick lunch on a weekday. They have lots of seating and an expansive window view of the street. It was easy to find parking on the street nearby, but I imagine on the weekends it might be a challenge. Our server was great and very attentive and friendly. The food was tasty and fresh and I will return to try their other dishes. It was very enjoyable and not rushed.

Such a great experience from start to finish. The food was amazing, but the staff truly made the night. Frank and Jess were incredible—Frank ordered for me and every recommendation was spot on. Loved everything and already planning my next visit!
