The food didn’t take too long to come out and the portions were good but the taste was just okay. We did experience a couple missing items (side of avocado and chimichurri) and brought this to the server’s attention. For the chimichurri, we were told that it didn’t come with the steak because they didn’t have it anymore so they didn’t include it in our meal. We should have been told this before the food came out or even right after it was set on the table. We were offered a replacement sauce (pico de gallo) just to find out that it cost extra and had to explain that it should be free as a replacement to the chimichurri. The manager was able to comp the pico and apologized.
At the end of the meal, I was also surprised to not receive any acknowledgement that I was celebrating my birthday (which I marked on the reservation).
Once I received the receipt, I noticed that we were also charged extra for the missing side of avocado and an extra sauce. This was not disclosed to us prior.
I can see why this place would be popular due to the atmosphere but the food and service here would not have me coming back, especially with a large party.
The food was okay. My boyfriend and I had lobster rolls and both were soggy and falling apart. they weren’t stuffed with that much lobster in it either. Pretty disappointing considering it cost $20 + . we both had Lobster rolls and beer ending check was $80 . Probably wouldn’t come back to this place for the food. maybe the drinks . but thats about it
Oh yeah, if you win at the bingo, they have prizes, it’s not just for fun to pass some time. It’s kinda cool too because it gives you common ground to be able to open up a conversation with strangers sitting adjacent to you. Good luck
As soon as I walked in, I immediately loved the vibe. The place was huge inside, so it could really hold large crowds. They also provide plenty of outdoor seating. They have TVs all around the restaurant to watch sporting events, and they have some games. I sat at the bar, and I ordered the coco colada and white sangria. Both drinks were great and were reasonably priced. My bartender (who I didn’t get his name) was very friendly.
Since this place left a great first-time impression, I will definitely come back, and next time, I will try something from the food menu.
We enjoyed buffalo wings as an appetizer. They were crispy and coated with sauce. My wife enjoyed a goat salad with shrimp and I had the linguine with meatballs. Both were good.
The best thing about our experience at Asbury Ale House is our server, Vicky. She is wonderful.
