Try the to go sushi and sashimi special, the fish is fresh and cut in big portion, but the rice has bid problem just like plain rice I can’t taste any sushi vinegar and texture also like over pressed. Salad is okay, but the daily soup is wrong seasoning like an amateur trying make the soup in creative way but fail.

Iced tea poisoned by waitress –
I was seated at the bar area and approached by a small young waitress who was behaving strangely and seemed angry. I was cordial and kind to her.
I ordered iced tea with my meal. She brought out my drink. I had only had 3 sips of it when she approached me to ask if I needed a new drink. I found this to be strange because my drink was full and declined. She brought out a new drink and told me this one was better. I took one sip and it tasted like raw sewage. She poisoned my drink. I immediately notified management. Will no longer be a customer at asahi. Hope I don’t get sick.

Every time that we go here, they are closed.

We have had take out here before which is also pretty decent, but eating there was over the top.

Do not have a standard meal here, go with whatever you’ve never heard of before.

The flavors were absolutely insane and the way that the flavor profiles stacked on top of each other for this one dish was out of this world.

Whoever the chef is, is creating art It would be awesome to have a private dining experience. Absolutely amazing, will be going here again.

I’ve been going to Asahi for years. I’m never disappointed. The food is always good. The filet in my opinion is the best thing on the menu! Scallops were good as well as the lobster. We went on a Monday evening, so there weren’t a lot of other big groups at the hibachi tables, which was nice. It was a little quieter than normal.

We love Asahi! This cozy hibachi restaurant is definitely Flower Mound’s finest! They have a great selection, and the restaurant is lively and fun! The service was excellent and the food delicious. They also offer sushi and other Japanese cuisine in addition to hibachi.
My husband and I dined here for Christmas Eve dinner, and I wish I would have gotten the hibachi chef’s name because he was the best hibachi chef that we have ever had in any restaurant. He was cordial, funny, efficient, and the food tasted amazing! Also, his tricks were fabulous…and not too loud. And something he did that I have never seen before…he did a few tricks AFTER we all had our food (just before cleaning the grill)! We loved that! Thank you for such a delicious and memorable meal!

After reading the reviews, I had high expectations from this restaurant, but may be for the people who are trying the hibachi restaurant for the first time this is a good option.

I have tried hibachi restaurants in other cities too, this restaurant is strictly fine when compared with my previous experience.

Avocado spring rolls were average and the sauce that came with them is tasteless. The main course’s rice was stale, yum-yum sauce was strictly good, ginger sauce was good.

Staff were nice, the setup and environment is unique and great. It just the food itself is just average, flavorless. For the high price paid the quality and taste of the food, don’t live up.

Everything was delicious. I absolutely love sushimi, seaweed salad and a good soup. I found it all. However, there were people in our group that wanted something more creative, like a fried sushi with all kinds of flavors and sauces, they got what they wanted too. Everyone left with a smile on their faces. Will come back! Everyone on the staff were kind. We had a great time.

Pretty good hibachi. I think it is better than the previous one we went. But because they only had one chef we had to sit next to a large group and eat according to their schedule which is after their sushi appetizers. Clean and good teppanyaki place.

10/10 would absolutely go back! The service and food were top notch! The waitress was attentive and delivered everything promptly. The hibachi fried rice was perfect. The gyoza was good but it’s hard to split 5 pieces between two people, would be better in an even number. We ordered several rolls, my favorite was the Las Vegas roll and the red snapper sashimi, but all were wonderful. I especially enjoyed their fresh wasabi, I had never before seen a place serve it. And the cold apple saki was delicious, though served in a wine glass rather than the traditional sake set.
