Nightmare
I recently visited Asahi Sushi and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. After placing our order, we waited nearly three hours for the sushi to come out, which was extremely frustrating, especially since the restaurant was not overly busy. We were repeatedly told that our food would be ready soon, but it never arrived in a reasonable amount of time. When the sushi finally came to the table, it did not meet expectations at all, and all the sushi was not cooked, it was raw. Which was disgustingly my. The texture and temperature made it seem like the food was not prepared properly. After waiting that long, we expected much better quality and attention to detail. Overall, the service and food quality did not justify the time or money spent, and I hope the restaurant improves its speed and food preparation so future customers have a better experience.

The food and sushi is amazing. However i have been here multiple times and it was not as bad as tonight. Usually the service is fast and efficient, however tonight was busier and it was not good. We did not get plates and utensils for 20+ minutes. We never got the appetizers we ordered. Once we got our sushi one roll was missing and came 15 minutes late, when we attempted to order another roll we waited another 15 minutes and they said that roll was never put in.

This was the worst sushi buffet I had… the eel was sour and dry, the fish is a weird color as you can see on the picture. IDK how people eat here I’m worried about food poisoning. the appetizers were weird as well.. green dumplings and literally udon with sauce and no soup service and atmosphere good but food is no go

The best AYCE sushi spot in Bergen County by far. I always have a very favorable opinion of the AYCE joints that include sashimi on the menu as they are quite rare. Asahi is a rare gem. Fish quality is pretty much standard to its competition and it’s AYCE so I won’t dive into that too much. The rolls were decent, nothing to write home about but complemented the sashimi well. I visited on Friday night and there was about a 15 minute wait. The fact that it’s BYOB I think certainly helps with its popularity but the atmosphere was pretty lively, Asahi appears to be the hot spot in Norwood. Will visit again!

This sushi spot is great for all-you-can-eat! The food was absolutely delicious, everything tasted so fresh. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the meal. Even though the place was busy, we didn’t have to wait long for our food to come out, everything is reasonably priced too. Can’t wait to go back!

Had a wonderful experience eating sushi here with my friends and family. They have the AYCE sushi for $29.99 which is a great deal considering that sashimi is included in the price The staff were super friendly and observant and I love the Japanese style seatings. I’m most definitely coming here forever for my sushi cravings!!

A decent sushi restaurant, beautiful interior, with traditional Japanese style sitting area. They offer “All you can eat”, weekdays $21.99, weekends (Fri-Sun) $23.99. Prices are somewhat high for the size of sushi rolls they serve.
We ordered the Red Dragon, Empire, and Bergen rolls to go. Our order was ready within 20 minutes. When we opened the boxes at home, was pretty surprised to see the size of rolls. Also, there was no additional sides like soup or salad, which we usually get from sushi places near our home.
We liked the red dragon and Bergen rolls, but Empire roll was lil disappointing. The seaweed didn’t taste well with rest of the sushi. The three rolls were not enough for two of us to fill up our tummy.
