Came here on a Thursday afternoon, had a nice quiet lunch with my mom. Staff greeted, seated, and took care of us right away. Had some seaweed salad and miso soup to start, followed by the sushi (spicy California, red dragon, UofL, and spicy tuna), then finished off with the red bean mochi for dessert! Everything tastes delicious and was super fresh. Reasonable average sushi restaurant prices. Cozy size establishment and friendly staff. Will be back soon 🙂

The portion size of the food was not as gracious as places like Fuji or Shogun, but it was very tasty. I highly recommend the sushi. The owner, I’m assuming, was very nice, treated my kid like a total princess and made her something I’m sure that’s not on their menu. My kid is picky and only eats plain steamed rice. He fried her an egg on top of her rice and she loved it. He also gave her candy. I really appreciated the kindness of the people working here.
I’m still Raving about the sushi to my husband. The rolls are smaller in pieces but they are full and very thick which makes up for the sliced amount. I cannot remember the name of the rolls, but one had fried lobster!

Easily the best sushi in Louisville and better than anything I have found in Lexington or Columbus. Expect to spend $7-10 per roll, and each person will need around 1 1/2 rolls to be full. I always order something of the chef’s choice, and I’ve never been disappointed. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Always fresh sushi, and never takes too long to come out. Customer service is beyond excellent – the sushi chef always interacts with our toddler and even brings him treats (chocolate/strawberry milk, yum!)

I loved to Oldham County from the Highlands in Louisville about three years ago and the one thing I miss most from home are the restaurants, ESPECIALLY the sushi restaurants. However, Asahii fills the void effortlessly and is honestly one of the best sushi restaurants in Kentucky, in my option. The food quality, flavors, options, everything is just perfection. I feel really lucky to live near them. I’m also impressed with the hibachi. Thank you all so much for the consistently good food and service.
