Building on our success as As Kneaded Bakery at Bay Area farmers markets and through our storefront, As Kneaded Café expands on our mission to build community through excellent food and friendly, welcoming customer service. At As Kneaded Café, there’s something for everyone! Enjoy breakfast with baked goods from our sister bakery and As Kneaded signature drinks featuring Counter Culture coffee beans. Our menu of salads and sandwiches changes seasonally, and don’t miss our expanded Lady Larder products. Our beloved breads will be available by way of a Bread Schedule. Kids will love our After-School Specials, designed just for them.

I’m so excited about the new As Kneaded Cafe next to the San Leandro Public Library! It’s owned by the same wonderful team behind As Kneaded Bakery, and we’ve already enjoyed their delicious bread at events like Taste of San Leandro and the San Leandro Downtown Farmers Market.
You can truly taste the love they put into their food. Everything is fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and full of flavor. They offer a great variety of drinks and food options, including plenty of vegetarian choices.

Great beverages (try the yuzu lemonade!) and excellent breakfast and lunch options (quiche, yogurt parfaits, sandwiches, salads), alongside As Kneaded Bakery bread and pastries. Seating is available inside and on the patio. I’m so excited to have a cafe at the main library in San Leandro!

I tried the maple syrup latte and it was good! Perfect blend of sweet & slightly salty, but not too much. The ham and cheese croissant was the star of the show though.. I asked them to toast it a bit for me and it was flaky and delicious.
This spot has a tables indoors and outdoors for working and enjoying your treats at the cafe. They also sell some unique and local items like date snacks. Connected to the library as well!
