We ordered the masala dosa (they very kindly split the batter so that we could have two), the Chetinnad chicken curry and the Rogan Josh. Everything tasted amazing! No notes. By far the best Indian restaurant I have tried in AZ! We got everything with mild spice and it was the perfect combination of heat and taste. The staff were attentive and the portions were generous. Will definitely come back for more.

A very nice new Indian restaurant in Mesa with rotating regional specialties you won’t find at other places.

The dosas are favorites of ours and come with some of the best fresh made chutneys we’ve ever had at a restaurant. They have nool paratha, chicken stuffed paratha, paal paratha and black rice pudding. These dishes are very unique and they do specials every weekend which are regional specialties

Highly recommend you give this place a try.

We were visiting from Colorado and the food here was delicious! We ended up having food here 3 days back to back. We had the Thalapakatti Mutton biriyani, Madurai Kari Dosa, Malabar Parotta, Paal Parotta and Chicken Fried rice and all of them tasted excellent and were authentic South Indian style. The service and ambience were great. It truly felt like home!

This is hands-down the best South Indian restaurant in the area! Perfection!

As I walked up to the front, I loved being able to see the menu outside. The lunch plate that came with a mini dosa, chutney and sambar PLUS a whole plate of rice, curries, pakodas, and dessert really drew me in. All this for $15 is an amazing value.

I grew up eating South Indian food and this place really delivers:

– The dosas were super crispy and perfect, and I loved the potatoes, chutney, and sambar that came with it.

– The plate of food that came afterwards had it all. They even spiced their crispy pakodas with a chaat masala, which no one does these days. The rice and chapati went perfectly with the mixed-vegetable curry (kootu), daal, and the side.

– For our sides, we tried the lamb Rogan Josh and the Chettinad chicken. I can honestly say that both types of meat were the most tender I’ve ever had. I’m still dreaming about it. They also had a wide variety of options to choose from and I can’t wait to go back and try some more.

– Mysore Pak is a difficult dessert to make and they had a very sizable portion that they made in house. No notes, just perfection.

The service was fantastic as well. I had a couple people come up and ask me how everything was. And the food came out really fast and hot!

As I was leaving, I also had the opportunity to speak with the owner, an incredibly nice man who mentioned that they cater as well.

Overall, this is my favorite restaurant in the area. The food is decidedly homemade since the flavor profiles are all extremely similar to what I grew up eating.

If you’ve never had South Indian food before, definitely give it a shot. You get to sample a wide variety of homemade cooking at Arusuvai. I honestly couldn’t recommend this place more.

Everything we had was authentic and wonderful. Pictured below is mango lime chicken and chicken with korma sauce. We had garlic naan and plain naan. Both entrees were delicious.

We celebrated a birthday party here tonight and they made it very special. The also gave her a few deserts to try. I loved that they let us make a reservation!

Our server made wonderful recommendations. We tried 3 appetizers. Samosas were exceptional.

Arusuvai Kitchen is hands down one of the best Indian dining experiences I’ve had.

From the moment you walk in, the aromas let you know you’re in for something special. The food is incredibly flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. Every dish tastes authentic, balanced, and rich without being overwhelming. You can tell the kitchen knows exactly what they’re doing.

The service is just as impressive. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, they make you feel like a valued guest rather than just another table. Portions are generous, presentation is on point, and everything comes out hot and perfectly cooked.

If you’re looking for real Indian cuisine done right, this place is a must. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to everyone I know.

I grew up eating Indian food. Many days a week my friend’s mother would cook while I was over very traditional Indian food.
I was craving that home cooked feeling today, and got exactly what I was looking for! The butter paneer masala was exceptional. Honestly the best food iv had of this variety in quite a long time!

We came across this place craving halal food on our trip to Phoenix. The hakka noodles, goat curry, onion pakoras, and bullet naan were very good, the spice level was adjustable as well!
