Established in 2010. The Arusuvai Restaurant brings in regional cuisine from Chettinad. It offers recipes which are seldom sampled outside families of regional India. The name Arusuvai means six tastes in Tamil a classical ancient indian language. It refers to sweet, hot, bitter, sour, salt and pungent. it is traditionally believed in Indian scriptures that all feast should represent six tastes.

Small but nicely arranged restaurant… parking available…they offer free bottled water which is the best thing … we have tried idli, chicken kothu parotta, Chettinad chicken & onion kulcha… medium spicy is better to go…nice & well behaved guys… accept Apple Pay.

The food is tasty and the ambience of the restaurant is good. I tried their buffet at their North Brunswick location. They have good selection of vegetarian and non vegetarian South Indian dishes. They also serve wide arrays of Indian sweet desserts and mixed fruits as part of the buffet. They took extra care to garnish the sweet dishes attractively.

We ordered catering from Arusuvai for our Housewarming party, approximately 100 people. They customized the food as per our choice. Food was Awesome. Everybody loved it. They put a lot of effort into making sure that everything is prepared and delivered the right way. Highly recommended.

First timer .. liked it .. we went with a group of 6 people and luckily got seats :). It was a buffet . Around 16$ + 4$ =20$ !!! It’s not that good for vegetarians. 20$ was too much . For meat eaters it was worth. Veggie food was average. Sweets were average too.. but my friends loved fish, prawns and other non veg items.

We experienced Sunday buffet in April. Great experience as we came in by 12:30 afternoon. Crab curry, mutton biryani, mango fish curry and Avial. Good taste and worth your money. Great attitude by servers and associates in restaurants. We overstayed our buffet . But felt welcome till last minute. Cooling down with Chicoo shake and coconut laddoo Can not be missed. Me and my family had a great experience overall.
