Tried a few other appetizers, chats, roti and curries during other visits, all tasted good. Weekends are buffet only which has plenty of vegetarian variety, plus live counters for some dishes like idli, dumplings etc. It does get crowded then. Waiters are prompt and cordial.
We had ordered Briyani, Parotta, and Mutton Curry for lunch, and had also ordered Crab Masala for to go. They all tasted very good, especially the crab. Food might seem a little on the pricey side but I think it is definitely worth it.
Staff were friendly and Service was fast enough but we did visit pretty on the tail end of the lunch rush, so not sure how the service will be when they are packed. Decor was pretty much standard South Indian restaurant style.
The buffet offered an impressive variety of dishes, and each item was prepared to perfection. Everything we tried was flavorful and authentic, making it difficult to decide what to sample next—nothing could be overlooked.
I highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates authentic South Indian cuisine.
I personally found the food too spicy, though others may enjoy that level of heat. The two biryani options were average in taste. Overall, the food quality was just average, and I don’t see myself returning here.
We ordered Sadya items, and every single dish tasted homely, authentic, and full of flavor. You could really feel the care and quality in the cooking. All our guests loved it.
Highly recommend — reliable service and genuinely great food. Will definitely be ordering again!
Cost was $30 per adult for a buffet.
Food : okay not worth the cost in my opinion. There was a one table for veg & non veg. I guess the owners are not concerned with cross contamination. My estimation for the food would be $15 at best. I’ve had better in any of the Buffet places on Oak Tree Road. There was a (veg , chicken) momo station which had some other delightful goodies to try. Now this part i thought was the highlight of the experience.
Was it worth 30 … definitely not for me .
Atmosphere: super crowded now enough space to walk to the food tables from your seats. Also the table were super wobly my wife almost tipped our table accidentally. Looked like they had just converted a run down office which still had projectors on the ceilings to a sit down resturant. They just put in a ton of table to optimize stretch their profits.
Again not worth the $30 price tag.
Service…not sure what to say here… with barely enough room to move im surprised I got any service here.
Message to the owner…. plan out your service area better. Hire an interior decorator because you’re charging a 5 star restaurant price for a barely 2 star resturant experience.
The Shrimp Biryani stood out with its rich aroma and well-balanced spices, while the Mutton Biryani was tender and deeply flavorful. We also tried the Egg Street-Style Noodles, which had that classic Indo-Chinese street flavor we love.
One of the highlights was the Gongura Chicken—a tangy and spicy Andhra-style dish that really impressed us. The Parotta was soft and flaky, pairing perfectly with the curries.
To top it off, the Sweet Soda added a nostalgic touch and rounded off the meal beautifully.
Overall, Arusuvai lives up to its name by offering an explosion of authentic South Indian and Indo-Chinese flavors. Definitely coming back to try more!
