Great Italian food here! I was very content with my meal and so was the rest of my family. Although it wasn’t anything crazy special, I enjoyed my short rib ravioli. Our salad unfortunately was way too doused in dressing. As per the service though, they were great at refilling our waters, but it would have been nice if they had offered grated cheese on our entrees. Besides those small complaints, I was very happy and definitely recommend this place to try!

Stopped in for dinner on a Monday evening, no dinner reservation needed. Food was flavorful, service was very nice and professional, and the food came out quickly. Dining area was simple, no frills. The dining area filled up quickly while we were there. When we left, the bar area was pretty busy. First time here, and highly recommend.

A tiny bit hidden and off the Main Streets but it did not have any wait times and everything was great tasting. I would call and make reservations ahead of time since here and most the places around here take reservations. Pastas, Cesar salad and potatoes were all A+

Every restaurant in town had a long wait, but we were able to get in here pretty easily. It wasn’t empty, but just not a wait time.

10 family members getting together for an old school Italian dinner. Outstanding food and service. Gianni is the perfect host.

We came last night for dinner, myself and my cousin after a show in the theater district. We love lobster so we got the Lobster Arancini and we did not like it 🙁 it was too spicy and we didn’t even taste any lobster. I got the gnocchi and meatball dish for my entree. The pasta was over cooked.

My meat sauce over my pasta was absolutely delicious and a generous portion. My appetizer of calamari fell far short, however, along with the bread that was served before the meal. The bread was so basic it had hardly any taste, definitely not what I would expect from an Italian restaurant. The calamari was tasty however the dipping sauce left much to be desired and about a third of the plate was fried spicy red peppers. That should have been a garnish not a major portion of the appetizer. The ambiance was wonderful, however, along with the Chianti!

We should have known going to a restaurant that was half empty at prime time on a Saturday night was a bad idea. Food and service were both not great (bad actually) not a single person finished their entree. Gnocchi was better on a recent United airlines flight than at Artu. Probably best to wait at another restaurant for better food and service.

If I could give one star I would. Massachusetts alcohol laws state you are not allowed to serve out of state licenses or “Out of Country” licenses. The law specifically states serve “at your own risk”. Apparently you need a physical passport. So when you won’t serve a 36 yo male from Canada because of this and won’t accept a photo of the passport it’s insane. Why would someone walk around a city with their passport in their pocket? Do not waste your time here. There is plenty of other establishments in this beautiful neighborhood that will not refuse to serve someone visiting our beautiful country and city of Boston.
