We where in the neighborhood at Some European Deli Store and Art’s was there filling up the shelf with hot torta type bread and got one to try it as it looked really good and yes in did was good! I’ve walked by Art’s Pizza and Bakery in Carmichael many times and was always curious to try it out. Today I finally went in, hoping for a good pizza spot. As soon as I entered, two women sitting at a table said “welcome” but then just kept chatting with each other. I went straight to the counter, picked up the menu, and stood there ready to order.
I waited… and waited. Six full minutes passed with no one behind the counter acknowledging me, asking if I was ready to order, or even making eye contact. The customer service was completely lacking—no greeting, no “I’ll be right with you,” nothing. It felt like I was invisible.
Needless to say, it left a really sour taste in my mouth before I even got any food. I walked out and went to my old faithful spot instead, where I ordered the 6 pizzas I needed without any hassle. Disappointing experience all around. I won’t be going back there again.
