Rustic & locally sourced Italian cooking, including family-style meals, served from a food cart.

Pricey & under seasoned food. The expericence was nice with the live music, but the food wasn’t worth it. Most of the dishes are under seasoned or not seasoned at all. 85$/person is way too high for what we got. Wine pairing was 40$/person.. it’s 4 pours of 4oz max, regular wines, nothing awesome. They were pushy on my wife to get something to drink, they asked her 3 times. Also, we were sitting on super cheap plastic table, very uncomfortable. After a while I was able to get a better chair, I dont think I would have stand the chair for the 2h30 session

Absolutely unreal Italian food. I had a profoundly good nine course meal, all based on chef selection Each dish was a delite.
Even though we ate the Chef’s selection, they very courteously accommodated our dietary restrictions. This is huge since I have an obscure, albeit mild food allergy.
There was live music which was quite pleasant. I ate until stuffed, and was able to take leftovers home.
This restaurant is AMAZING.

My wife and I visited Artigiano for the two-person chef’s choice dinner on Saturday night. Enjoyed the quality of the food and the ambiance — featuring a small, outdoor, roofed patio and a live jazz trio. A friendly server kept bringing course after course of small plates, containing antipasti, various pasta dishes, and a concluding plate of braised meat dishes. Each dish was well-cooked, well-seasoned, and delicious. Portions were on the small side for each dish, but the total amount of food was just about right for me and my wife. Price was on the high side for a food truck experience, but reasonable for a multi-course Italian meal of this quality.

I had an amazing dinner here. I don’t normally eat some of the foods that were served, but I enjoyed every single dish. I will definently be going back.

What a gem of a place.
Probably the best Italian food I have had outside of Italy. There is such love in the preparation of the food and it shows. Rachael and Josh (and Ashley!) are all amazing and so knowledgeable. Great attention to detail and flavor. Highly recommend, but if you tend to get cold, bring a sweater because it’s al fresco. Either way, you need to try this place!

Artigiano is a perfectly executed, fresh-food Portland take on the little hole in the wall you dream of finding while wandering the streets of Rome.
As you stroll down Division in a Friday evening, let the sweet sound of jazz and the sizzle of octopus be your guide. Walk to the graciously open cart window and let Chef Rachael Grossman take you on the mythical foodie journey you’ve always wanted, appropriately called a “feast.”
A glass of prosecco in one hand and a marinated, traditionally prepared shrimp in the other, let the decidance of Artigiano and its plates of delicately cooked lamb and handmade pasta be the mini-vacation you need.
This is a food cart with table-side service and some covered seating, with a heatlamp. Dogs ok. Great for groups or a solo meal. Reservations recommended.

Artigiano is my favorite place to eat in all of Portland! A must if you’re visiting. Well worth any extra effort. Tip: (Best option is doing the “Family Feast” with friends!)

Great dining experience and incredible food. It is a little pricey a I guess but it’s a long service with multiple courses, lots of wine, and it’s expected of you to take your time. Personally, I think it ends up being a really good value for money. Plan to spend 2 hours or more there. Relax, get comfortable, and enjoy the experience. The chef, Rachel is fantastic and the food they pump out of their food truck is impressive. It’s a simple, fun night on the patio.

Insane prices and it’s essentially a food cart. The courses are small and while the “course” meal is interesting, it doesn’t fit the experience. If it was in a “fine” dining setting it would make sense but it’s not. The red pasta sauce for example was bland and the noodles were over cooked. The shrimp was again like the pasta, overcooked. Some of the other “courses” were not appetizing to my pallet unfortunately.
I love Italian food and this place really didn’t feel Italian, from the seating, atmosphere, or even the food. The staff were nice and seemed knowledgeable on the menu but also pushed wine way too much. If a customer says they don’t want a wine you don’t keep pushing them.
Overall, this place is okay however it’s way overpriced and for the high price pasta and shrimp was overcooked. Also, the pasta sauce was bland. Looking at the reviews you can tell real people from possibly paid ones. Be wary and honestly, I’ve never been asked by a staff member how much I was looking to spend when being seated at a restaurant (food cart in this case). I’ve been places around Portland, the US, and serval countries and this is the first time. Also, the staff didn’t seem to care that my party had overcooked food which is another first in this type of price range.

I love this place. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon it last year when the wait at another restaurant was way too long, and we loved it so much we made a special trip to Portland just to eat here again this year. It’s not a high-end restaurant, but the folks working here are friendly and genuine, and the food (especially the homemade pasta) is outstanding. Reminded me of family dinners back home. I’ll definitely be back.
