I haven’t been to Arthur’s Steakhouse in 15 years. Is it still amazing?
Got a trip back to NJ and will be staying 1 mile of Arthur’s in Morris Plains. Seriously debating this as our big night out. Is it as good as I remember?

Great spot. We went to celebrate a friend’s birthday on a Saturday night. It was busy, but the wait wasn’t too long, about 30 minutes.
Out waitress was very friendly and provided excellent service. The food was delicious. I followed someone’s recommendation of onion soup, Delmonico steak, and chocolate mousse pie – it was a great suggestion for someone’s first visit. My boyfriend ordered the pork chop and it was really thick, but also really tender.
Overall ambiance is fun – and being in such a lovely place definitely promotes a positive vibe. You are able to grab some drinks at the bar while you wait for table availability. I highly recommend. I will definitely be going back.

A long established steakhouse in Morris Plains, NJ. We need to go back to actually try the steak but the food we did have was outstanding! The complimentary pickles are divine. I had to take the spares home. I got the French dip and easily joined the clean plate club that day. The French onion soups had suuuuuch deep flavor I was soaking up every drop with the garlic bread. My wife’s hamburger was a perfect example of simplicity done right so you crave it.
None of this is high art food, presentation wise it’s like you were visiting grandma, made with love and to please but not your ig account. That being said I want it, I want it now and tomorrow.
*My only complaint is they don’t have a fryer so French fries are off the menu. I really hope they expand the kitchen some day to add that in.

When it’s packed you get a good sense of the energy and how established the place is. Gives a rock of ages impression, like it’s been there a long time and will be slinging pickles long after I’m gone.
They have outdoor seating in the summer I believe. We sat upstairs so didn’t get to try it.

Not a fan. Local seem to love it but for a Friday night when things should be 100% left me disappointed. Chunks of gristle and fat in the chopped cheesesteak. The medium burger with no hint of pink. 6 empty tables with 30 minute wait. The staff was very friendly and fast. The establishment is cramped but has that old school charm. I’ll try again as it must have been an off night.

Amazing steaks, generous portions and great drinks! My only caveats: tiny bathroom, they allow people to pile in as they wait for a table so dont choose the front area to sit and all parties must be present to even get seated. Other than that, highly recommended!

If you’re looking for perfectly cooked steaks, this is the place! ✨ The meat was flavorful, juicy, and cooked exactly to the temperature I asked for. Every bite was tender and full of flavor. An atmosphere was also great, although we were waiting half an hour to be seated (the tavern has no reservation option). The staff is attentive without being overbearing, our waiter was brilliant. Definitely a spot I’d recommend to anyone who loves a good steak dinner!

Bone-in ribeye tasted great! I got a side of a special cherry pepper sauce they had on a different steak and it was really good. I’m glad I got it on the side (suggested option from our waitress) because I loved being able to have a couple bites versus the whole steak as the meat alone had a wonderful flavor! Our table also got French onion soup and a burger and everyone enjoyed their meal.
