While passing through the area, I stopped at this cute little restaurant before jumping on nearby route 8.
I was warmly greeted by a nice lady that was apparently running the place.
She made me a tasty Italian Combo grinder. It was a quick in and out pit stop.
The prices seem to be average.

I’m not one to leave reviews but I absolutely need to let people know about how great this place is. I’ve ordered quite a few items here for takeout and I’m amazed every time. The delivery is quick, the food is hot and fresh. The pasta fagioli is quite literally some of the best I’ve ever had in my life! Do yourself a favor and order from here. And it’s fairly priced. Absolutely love this place!

Got a plain pizza and mozz sticks. Pizza was alright but I couldn’t tell you about the mozz sticks. Never in my life have I ever seen people just toss open mozzarella sticks with sauce into a paper bag. I was holding the bag vertically thinking that the food was in a closed container since the bag was taped shut, and the bag disintegrated due to the sauce. The sticks landed all over my pants, dog, and welcome mat. Took them 30 minutes to make my food and I didn’t even get to eat all of it.

I placed an order through slice for a large pizza and a garlic bread with cheese. I asked for the bread to be WELL-DONE. When it arrived it was anything but. I reached out to customer service, they in turn needed to call the restaurant directly.
The representative spoke with the manager of Artans, who said that this is well done and if I wanted it cooked more I should’ve asked for “crispy”.
At least the pizza was edible.

I ordered chicken broccoli pizza with alfredo sauce and it’s the best pizza I’ve ever eaten.

Artan’s Pizza has been our go to spot for years. Their salad pizza either no sauce is our favorite followed by their buffalo chicken pizza. I’ve never had to wait more than 30 minutes from the time I order to the delivery of the pizza. In all honesty, it usually gets delivered within They only recently started closing on Mondays, which is typical for pizza restaurants. If you want fast and delicious pizza at an affordable price, Artans is the place to go.

Believe I wrote a review with an old account before but I’ve lived in Shelton for 7 years now and one of the first pizza spots I went to try was Artans. I’ve tried numerous Pizza places over the years but always come back to this one. They have competitive prices and the food is always good. Their Calzones are some of the biggest I’ve had and whenever I try a new dish I am pleasantly surprised by yet another thing they do well. Keep it coming!
