I dined at the Arriba Mexican Grill on a Saturday evening. We ordered Chicken Street Tacos and Chicken Fajitas. Food was okay. Portion size was pretty good. The chicken fajitas had a lot of chicken. Service was not that great. We had to ask for water multiple times before we got it. There was only one server. I went here on the Labor Day weekend. Maybe they are not used to having huge crowds.

♂️People: Alexis was our server, and he did a nice job. Filled up our waters frequently, was quick with our food, and chatted with us a bit about local things to see.
Experience: It was nice to find a Mexican restaurant near Bryce Canyon. It was clean, and the atmosphere was pleasant. They had indoor and outdoor seating; we were inside in a booth. As any good Mexican restaurant does, they offered chips and salsa. The salsa was basic, but they had a selection of other options at a salsa bar ranging from mild to pretty hot (red is mild, green is hot, stuff in between is in between.) I’ve seen others state that their food is bland, but they must not have been taking advantage of the different flavors the salsa bar provided. It allowed me to customize my food to the flavor and temperature I liked. My recommendation to the restaurant is to really highlight this feature and find ways to add to it–as many options to customize as possible.
The pricing did feel a little high (burrito was $20), but it’s understandable given there’s no other competition for Mexican food, and it likely costs a little more to get food trucked in given it’s fairly remote.
, Do It Again? If I’m back in the area and in the mood for Mexican food, I would come back. I wish they had a few more options on their menu–a chimichanga, combination plates, or nachos–but I also understand it’s a small restaurant that could grow with time. There are not a lot of options for Mexican food in the Bryce area, and Arriba doesn’t help much with that problem. My wife makes much better Mexican food than this. There was nothing wrong with it, just super average. When the server dropped off the chips, he said, “And here’s some tomato sauce,” and that’s pretty much what it tasted like. Fortunately, they did have a nice salsa bar which was the highlight. This is one of the dumpiest-looking restaurants I’ve ever eaten at, even by Bryce Canyon standards. Service was friendly and attentive.

The strength of this restaurant seems to be in the sauces. I didn’t love my burrito, but my wife got some enchiladas (smothered in cheese and sauce) which were so delicious.
The salsa bar was also so, so good. Added plenty of flavor where my burrito may have lacked. Our serve was also very kind.
The prices are high but you’re in the middle of nowhere so it’s kinda what you have to do.

Absolutely Delightful Experience at Arriba Mexican Grill, Bryce!
We had an unexpected yet truly heartwarming experience at Arriba Mexican Grill during our trip to Bryce. Being vegetarians with a preference for Indian-style dietary needs (no meat, no egg), we often find it challenging to get a satisfying meal in smaller towns. But Arriba went above and beyond!
We ordered vegetarian enchiladas and quesadillas loaded with extra veggies—they were flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The fajitas were decent, made well, though the highlight remained the enchiladas and quesadillas.
What made our experience truly special was their hospitality. We were celebrating a special occasion, and the team surprised us with complimentary churros for dessert—absolutely delicious and a sweet gesture that touched us deeply.
Special mention to Alfredo, the manager, and Daniel, our server, who were both exceptional in their service, attention to detail, and warmth. They even made sure our kids had a fun, comfortable experience, which meant the world to us.
In a town where we didn’t expect much, Arriba delivered not just great food but memorable hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Mexican food, with a team that truly cares.

I want to share my very bad experience at Arriba Mexican Grill near Bryce Canyon to warn others.
We arrived at 9:50 PM, just before their 10 PM closing time, and asked if we could order to-go since we wanted to get to our hotel quickly. They agreed. We ordered a chicken burrito and a kids quesadilla. The food came quickly, but when I opened it at the restaurant to check the order, the chicken burrito looked tiny for $20 – very little rice and beans.
When I asked Alexis, the employee, if that was the proper size, he said yes but admitted they forgot to include guacamole and sour cream. He brought those later, but that mistake shouldn’t have happened.
When it came time to pay, the payment kiosk showed only the final total amount with no breakdown or mention of any service charge or tip. The total seemed higher than expected, so I asked Alexis about it. He then said they add a 15% tip for to-go orders – which was never mentioned before. In reality, a 20% service charge was added, not 15%. This lack of transparency felt misleading and unfair.
When I questioned why a tip was added without any prior notice or explanation, Alexis said the tip was for getting the food. That’s unacceptable – if a tip or service charge is added, customers must be informed upfront. Customers should decide if and how much to tip, especially for takeout.
I asked to remove the tip, which he did, but the whole situation left a very bad impression.
After paying, another employee (probably manager/chef?) without a name tag who was watching our conversation, asked how our experience was. I said it was very bad, and he rudely told me to leave the food for a refund, which was unhelpful and disrespectful.
Regarding the food quality, the chicken burrito was mostly just chicken and bean paste spread thinly. The sour cream and beans smelled bad and were stale, so we couldn’t eat them or the burrito. The rice and quesadilla were okay.
Overall, the food was overpriced and poor quality, the staff was not transparent or honest about charges, and the customer service was rude. This frustrating experience has compelled me to write this review to warn others.
I hope Arriba Mexican Grill takes this feedback seriously and improves both their food quality and customer communication.

I recently visited Arriba Mexican Grill and was quite disappointed with the experience. We arrived around 4:30 PM, but even though Google Maps indicated they open at 4 PM, the chef wasn’t there yet. After finally getting seated, we were handed menus that were crumbling and dirty. The prices were surprisingly high for what they offered. For instance, three tacos were $20, which seemed way overpriced for the portion size.
The chips and salsa they brought were bland and tasted more like marinara sauce than traditional salsa. We decided to try their fish and chips, but it was the worst we’ve ever had. The fries were undercooked, and the fish seemed like it was still frozen inside. It was clear that the food was not prepared properly.
Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and we won’t be returning. We do not recommend this restaurant!

We did not know where to go for dinner , so this place had a 4+ rating.. so why not.
We’re from houston so we do know what good Mexican food is suppose to taste like. We had the chicken corn tacos and ribeye fajitas. Neither one of us was expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. Chicken full of flavor and authentic and “yummy”. As for my fajitas… meat was well seasons and tender… cooked just right.
After a long day of hiking… highly recommend this out of the way place that had friendly atmosphere.

After a long day of hiking… highly recommend this out of the way place that had friendly atmosphere.

All our food came out VERY fast and we all thought it was amazing. The salsa bar was also fun and we liked the music on the patio. I got a vegetarian burrito and it was very good. Great place overall!
