My family & love this pizza however tonight it was not it. The pizza was also suppose to have red peppers which it did not. I asked for it to be well done & it was a sloppy mess. I have had this issue before missing the red peppers or not being well done. Most of the time I call to make an order and they pick up & right away place on hold, very rude & sometimes don’t answer & it’s during operating hours.
It’s upsetting because I pay for something and don’t get that.

I stumbled upon this place on accident trying to get around a freight train. I use to love sweet sauce pizza from pizzahut 15 years ago. So I thought what the heck majority of the reviews says it’s really sweet. I enjoy sweet things so it shouldn’t be a problem. WRONG. When I received the pizza hot and fresh it was very very sweet. The sweetness overpowered any other taste. It wasn’t like a sweet taste like candy. It was like a sweet taste of to much sugar and now it taste bad with a after taste. I struggled to eat this pizza but I paid for it so I was forcing it down my throat. I ordered a small sasuage which came out to $17 which is expensive for the tiny pizza i received. I did end up having left overs which I threw into the air fryer the next day.
On the leftovers I added red pepper flakes to offset the sweetness and to my surprise the 2nd day leftover tasted okay and the sweetness was gone on the leftovers so im giving them 2 stars because the leftovers was decent tasting. Only problem is i buy pizza for the fresh out the oven taste and not 2nd day left over out the fridge taste.
Fast forward to a few days later I tried another pizza spot with sweet sauce and I got a medium sasuage it was $17 for the medium at another pizza spot. So Arrenello is expensive for the size you recieve and sweet tasting sauce. Everyone has different taste buds so i wish Arrenello best of luck in the future. I don’t believe i will be returning to them, but others will and that is good as they have their place in the pizza world.

Not sure if this was an off night or a recipe change, but the sauce tastes different. My family has been eating this pizza for over 20 years and we LOVE the sweet sauce. However, tonight the sauce was super watery and not sweet at all. Hopefully it’s back to normal next time. We’ve never had a bad pizza until tonight.

Out of All the pizza joints in the area; NW IN and Chicagoland, They are THEE BEST! thin crust, deep dish, or the dinners, it’s all so very good! Yes, it’s the sweet sauce which is my favorite! So,if you aren’t sure about a sweeter sauce start way thin crust. But our go to orders are either a Deep Dish with extra cheese and pepperoni or thin crust with pepperoni and green peppers. No need to order extra cheese on a thin because they cheese it up real good! Glenwood location is better than highland in my opinion but if you’re closer to highland IN location, they’re good too,but worth the drive to Glenwood. And the liquor store right next door is convenient to pop in on your way to get your pizza if it’s a weekend and you need a nice cold adult beverage to go with your pizza!

Fried cauliflower had no flavor. We asked for thin crust crispy pizza and it was like barely cooked dough. We usually love this place. Tonight they were not up to par.

The pizza is delicious. It has a sweet sauce. Toppings were plentiful, with a crispy crust that held up to the weight of all the toppings.

If you want great pizza, great ingredients and a smile then you have to visit the Original Arrenello’s Pizza. The sauce leans toward sweet but that what gives it’s unique flavor profile. I normally get Thick Crust Chicken Sausage because of how tasty and fulfilling it is. You can’t find a better chicken sausage anywhere. The cheese is consistent and the crust is buttery and flaky.
