I absolutely love the concept of Sinaloan cuisine, which—for those unfamiliar—comes from a state in northwestern Mexico renowned for its food, music, and vibrant culture. This restaurant perfectly captures that entire vibe and authenticity.
The food is excellent. My personal favorites are the tacos gobernador, although I have no doubt that the ceviches are the restaurant’s star dish. The vampiro tacos were delicious, and a special shout-out must go to the birria tacos—they were exquisite. The prawns were well-prepared but weren’t my favorite item.
The service is outstanding. The staff is very helpful in assisting with dish selection, offering great recommendations, and answering any questions you have about the menu.
It’s a great spot to go with friends, but it’s also perfect for the family; the kids can easily enjoy the carne asada tacos and will be happy.
Keep in mind that everything is prepared fresh, so cooking the dishes takes some time. I recommend bringing your patience and just enjoying the overall experience.
A fantastic place!
Overall, the food was delicious and clean. Everyone was impressed by the chef’s well-executed Mexican dishes.
There were, however, a few things that could be improved.
We ordered several dishes, and even though our table had no space left, the server still asked us to take the new plates. It would have been better if they had cleared some of the empty dishes before bringing out more food.
Also, there was a discrepancy between the prices listed on the wine list and the prices printed on the final bill. This is something that definitely needs to be addressed.
I understand the additional 4% credit card fee, but it would be better to note this clearly on the receipt. Simply stating that the prices are different for cash and card payments does not provide enough clarity to customers.
Overall, the beautiful interior and excellent food left a strong impression. If the points I mentioned above are improved, I believe this place will become an even better dining destination.
After two and a half hours at the restaurant and a $71 bill, we had only been served one drink and two appetizers. When we asked about our entrées, the server told us, “You’re going to kill me, but we don’t have the chicken.” At that point, we cancelled the remainder of our order, paid the bill, and left — without an apology or any explanation.
For a restaurant positioning itself as premium Northern Mexican cuisine from an internationally acclaimed chef, this level of service was unacceptable.
The positives:
The restaurant was clean and attractively decorated for Valentine’s Day.
The bathroom was clean, well maintained, and functional.
The Tostada VIP Ceviche had excellent flavor (4/5), though the construction could be improved. At $28, it felt overpriced — closer to $20 would be more reasonable.
The Sinaloense Guacamole with house-made chips (a nice touch) was good but under-seasoned and seemed to be missing the chicharrón (4/5). At $18, it also felt overpriced.
The Mexi-Mojito was enjoyable, but $18 is steep for what was delivered.
What we did not get to try — due to the kitchen running out of ingredients after we had already waited extensively — were the Organic Roasted Chicken with Mole and the Lobster Espagueti Ranchero, which were the dishes we were most looking forward to.
Ultimately, Arre Sinaloa’s poor service and lack of communication nearly ruined our Valentine’s Day. We left hungry at 9:30 PM after waiting 2.5 hours for a meal that never came. While we can now laugh about spending over $70 to sit in a restaurant without being served dinner — or even receiving the additional drinks we ordered — it was an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience.
We hope the restaurant improves its operational management and customer service, because at its current level, it does not justify its pricing or reputation.
Their playlist is fire and I need to go back to borrow the name of it. The food was yummy and aesthetically appealing. There were several couples and groups of friends celebrating.
Great spot, came here for the high rating and can saw they deserve it.
The star of the show, of course, is the ceviche. Whether you prefer the traditional shrimp, fish, or the more adventurous mix, each dish is an explosion of flavors. The fish is impeccably fresh, the balance of citrus and spices is spot on, and the garnish of chopped cilantro, avocado, and just the right amount of heat from the chili makes each bite a delight. You can tell the chefs are experts in their craft, delivering bold, complex flavors while keeping the integrity of Sinaloan cuisine intact.
Overall, this Sinaloan ceviche spot is a treasure for anyone who appreciates authentic, high-quality ceviche. It’s clear that this restaurant takes pride in offering a genuine taste of Sinaloa, and I can’t wait to return for another unforgettable meal.
