Love it. First time visiting this place. Was just looking for a place to eat breakfast after church and saw this from Google maps. Love the atmosphere, not pretentious. Menu is simple but food is good and seasoned properly. Will be our go to breakfast place in Edmond.

Good mom and pop restaurant food is excellent. Get there early. On weekends, it’s busy.

The hubby offered to take me to breakfast, which brought a smile to my face, because I’ve had my eye on “Around the Corner Restaurant“, in downtown Edmond. I’d read the reviews about this place and couldn’t wait to experience it myself. Upon entering, we were met with a pleasant greeting and informed that we could seat ourselves. After finding an open booth, we noticed our table was covered in crumbs and water residue left from the previous dining guests. No big; we had the waiter wipe it down. Meanwhile, we took our time navigating through the menu. After placing our orders, we found ourselves distracted by various crossword puzzles on the back of the menu, due to the lengthy amount of time that we waited for our meals to be served. Despite the wait, I was pleasantly surprised by how tender the chicken-fried steak, that my husband ordered, was. Dare I say, it was also well seasoned . I decided to indulge their breakfast burrito, with which I was able to make substitutions. It turned out great! This restaurant also offers eating outdoors. However, due to the 90 degree weather, dining inside worked best for us. Perhaps, other species felt the same as it became bothersome when a few flies found their way to our table, which for me (and I’m sure, most), was a total turn-off.

Nice place to grab a weekend breakfast. I Reccomend going just a bit earlier in the morning to avoid a wait. We arrived around 730 am on a Saturday and were seated right away. By the time we left, it was a full house. Robust menu of typical american food, sure to please anyone. It was our first time visiting, and we liked the atmosphere and kitschy decorations. The food was good, but we did not find anything absolutely amazing. However, the service was fantastic! Id still reccomed you go for the atmosphere and walk around town afterward.

Having had the pleasure of dining at ‘Around The Corner’ on several occasions now, I can confidently declare that this establishment is a testament to the spirit of our neighborhood and has become a cherished part of our local culture. A quintessential diner, it seamlessly merges nostalgic comfort with a fresh, innovative approach to traditional diner cuisine.

We were dining at this restaurant in downtown Edmond for the first. Loved the ambience which has a nice, small town feeling. The waiter who served us wasn’t a friendly one, young guy with a “I’m too busy” attitude. The waitresses there had a smile all the time. The low stars are ‘cos the California omelette that we ordered for our daughter had some stale meat. We didn’t realize why she was removing the chicken pieces out of the omelette until we brought the leftovers home and tasted the meat. The sandwiches we ordered were good.

We walked in and sat at the table for more than 5 minutes as the waitress’ walked by ignoring us. Well, one said I will be right with you, but went outside to windex the windows instead. We finally waved someone down to get coffee which tasted like warm water. We were pretty much ignored the entire time and had to keep waving people down to get any service! We asked for hot maple syrup for the pancake, and were told we don’t have maple syrup it’s just syrup. Lmao Next time we will go back to The Big Biscuit restaurant down the road where the service and food are amazing!

We were taking a mini vacation and accidentally discovered this restaurant. It was definitely a delicious surprise as far as the food. My teenager said those were the best waffles he ever had! And can’t quit talking about them. Our food was delicious also, great prices, superior service. We ate outside and absolutely soaked up the relaxing atmosphere. We’ve told everyone we know about this place. We’ll definitely be back.

It is seat yourself so jump on in. Solid basic breakfast options with menu items available if you want to explore. Very feel good home style atmosphere. Surprisingly clean for all the knickknacks around the store. Keep up the good work and I will be back soon! Didn’t get any picture because I ate my food so fast. Will add after future visit!

Literally so cute! Me and my mom went for a breakfast before going to the farmers market. It was busy so we had to wait a while for our food. But otherwise they have a very inviting atmosphere, the small town feel I always long for. The food was good and you MUST get the fresh orange juice! Wish I had discovered this years ago!
