Decided to bring my wife here for her birthday dinner. Our appetizer was onion rings with a side of ranch? Ranch… Did not taste like ranch at all. Ordered the turkey, gravy with stuffing and mashed potatoes. Pretty good! Service was excellent and Peyton was amazing and professional. So thank you and we hope you get the recognition you deserve! All in all it was a great experience!

We were in town for the Midwest Women Riders event and ate breakfast here two days. My first visit I wasn’t hungry and only ordered a side of bacon. My second visit I ordered blueberry French toast and it was so good! And HUGE portions on everything we ordered. We were seated quickly and service was impeccable. Our waiter was very attentive.

This has been a reliably delicious place to eat since I was a kid 30+ years ago. It has those classic diner vibes with great service and tasty dishes. My family loves breakfast here. I have a had time getting anything but the Italian Omelet. It’s so good!! And when you have a hankering for fluffy pancakes, plain and simple, this is a great place to get some. Reasonable prices that I’m happy to pay for the consistency.

Not only is Around the Clock a Crystal Lake institution, it is truly one of my favorite restaurants. With outstanding dishes, traditional American cuisine with classic recipes – along with some truly great Greek and Italian classics – Around the Clock is a special restaurant. I HIGHLY recommend it – for the delicious food, the great value, the wonderful service, the many healthy food options, and great atmosphere. I’d personally add that the hostess Dianne was SPECTACULAR. She made the night special for our family!!!

I was in the area looking for a local restaurant to patronize. This first place gave me the feeling of a classic American diner. A fairly simple menu. They also had a bakery or at least bakery items. I ordered it, simple hamburger and fries and a salad and then also a brownie on the way out. As simple as it seems. I wish my hamburger would have had some onion on it and even some jalapenos. But other than that it was pretty good. I read it 4 out of five.

I enjoyed the classic diner experience. It reminded me of my childhood in family diners. The service was comforting, the servers were courteous and friendly. The food, however, had a bit to be desired. I ordered the chicken parmesan, and I will admit that I tend to order that just to see if it can be done right. The chicken itself was amazing, extremely tender and flavorful. But the pasta was a disappointment. It was overcooked, flavorless, and soggy. The sauce was mediocre, and I believe that even a better sauce would have saved the noodles, or possibly seasoning the noodles before serving. I fully intend to visit again and try other dishes in the future, but I hope they can improve on their pasta.

Friendly local mom and pop place. Excellent food at reasonable prices. Friendly service staff with a great atmosphere. Can’t go wrong with any menu items. I’ve tried over half of them and was never disappointed.
