As we are currently living in Europe, traveling to Japan is not easy, so we had been really missing sushi and sashimi. During our trip to Lisbon, Portugal, we happened to discover Aaron Restaurant just across from our hotel and decided to have dinner there.

The food exceeded our expectations and was absolutely fantastic. We loved it so much that we returned again for lunch the next day before leaving. We also had the pleasure of taking a photo with the manager, Aaron, which made our experience even more memorable.

All of the restaurant staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, making our visit truly special. Since Portugal is relatively close to Ireland, where we currently live, we would definitely love to visit again. Thank you very much for such a wonderful experience.

Fantastic and pleasant surprise to find such authentic sushi in Lisbon. Everything was excellent — the quality of the food as, the flavors, and the attention to detail. The service was amazing and very welcoming, making the whole experience even better. You can really feel the care and authenticity behind the food. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be back!

Nice service but just look how small our sashimi was!!! These guys are having a laugh at our expense here.
I suggest you have words with the cheff or only sell food to ppl trying to loose weight.
We our waitress know our disappointment on the night.

Truth is we wanted to dine in one of the few Michelin rated Japanese restaurants in the city but couldn’t get a last minute reservation.

We saw that this place was highly rated so gave it a go. Thankfully.

The quality of the fish is not incredible but it’s good given the extensive menu they offer. They offer some fusion-y recipes but the execution is generally traditional.

The sushi rice is spot on and the qty of fish to rice is good.

More so the service is top notch and should be applauded. Super professional, prompt, and attentive.

The one negative is that we ordered o-toro (fatty tuna) – 2 pieces for 14 EUR. It definitely was fatty tuna but the pieces were not of the best quality given the price.

Overall a great meal though and an excellent choice for sushi.

Small sushi restaurant on a quiet street near El Corte Inglés. Quality of food and service are top notch. Tables are too close together making it very hard to get to the tables and have some privacy while eating with someone during peak hours.

Everything was great, food is delicious, nice atmosphere. Service is good as well, fast, friendly and attentive.
The only thing is,they don’t always have everything on the menu (we came for fatty tuna sashimi for example the 2nd time, and there were none,as well as medium), other than that all was good.

Located inside the 31 Jan market, you’d expect v high quality fish and traditional food. Alas, fish was just OK and menu was fusion and try-hard.
We got sunomomo and special sunomomo salads – both too funky to taste anything like what they should taste like. Karaage chicken which was nice for our baby. We also got the chef sashimi selection and the nigiri selection, neither were special. They only have one type of sake which was not to our liking at all.
I still think the more expensive yakuza is the place to go if you want good sushi…

It’s is a good place for a sushi with quality and not a crazy price. The combos are perfect for two if you don’t want to spend too much time looking for good set of sushi

We ended our visit at the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum and it was raining. While sitting at the cafeteria I looked up Japanese near me and found a table using “the fork” app. We walked past 五十 (go juu) and it looked like there was a line. Not so at Aron Sushi. The miso soup, sunomono (pickles) and salad that came with the teishoku lunch set were pretty authentic. The sashimi sushi set was okay. Presentation is a 5. Freshness and Flavor was a 4. Service was a 3.5. (didn’t know what kind of green tea they served and had to ask for soy sauce/couldn’t get attention of 3 servers)
