My sister, her friend from Florida, and I had lunch there today and Mario was a perfect host. Everything was amazing, the food delisioso, and the atmosphere charming. I will be be back soon for sure!

Everything was perfectly portioned, timed, and paired. The ambiance is the best you can ask for in an office building, and it was a special experience. Chef Mario has 16 years of experience in the front of the house, including as a sommelier, and 27 in the kitchen, and it shows!
We made reservations via text a while ago for our anniversary. Chef Mario sent us the menu the week of the reservation to choose soup/salad and an entree, but the other courses were a surprise. We also had no idea what the price would be until we got the bill, but it ended up being $100/person.

Cannot understand the 5 star reviews. I chose the restaurant based on reviews, but for me and 2 family members it was a very poor experience. No pricing posted on menu. When asking about the cost, Mario said I wouldn’t be disappointed?? We have modest budgets and were not prepared to spend over $40 for a meal that was drenched in a sauce that was not tasty at all. I couldn’t enjoy any specific flavor of the meal. The flavor was awful. We ordered different items and each of us were embarrassed to tell this “highly reviewed chef” that these were the worst meals we have ever ordered at a restaurant. No exaggeration!
The ambience was not there for us. We sat next to a large icemaker, lots of bottles of condiments, what looked like a deli counter and a coffee machine. What is cozy about that? The wait for our meals was about an hour and only one other table had guests that evening. A couple hundred bucks for 3 people for a sad experience.

Best, most authentic Italian food you can get without buying a plane ticket to Italy. Mario is the sole employee and was incredibly kind. We learned that it’s best to call ahead to make a reservation for both lunch and dinner, as Mario can get pretty busy for private events/dinner services, and sometimes closes for lunch to accommodate.

It is a very unique personal experience! He has some wine but it’s BYOB very small 4 table place. Its on the top floor of an office but the chef makes u feel at home immediately. He’s a great chef everything he makes is delicious u get to try everything! If u take a date there they will b really impressed. I’ve been there twice he doesn’t disappoint highly recommend it

My favorite Cleveland restaurant and such a hidden gem! I’ve been multiple times and everything is always amazing. Come hungry for some authentic Italian – the food has been absolutely delicious and you’ll want to try everything. Mario is so personable and makes sure you’re enjoying your time and are well fed! Tons of food for a great price and you can bring your own wine!

a fun place to eat, although it is in a random building. not very big so the spacing between tables is a bit tight but it wasn’t very busy when I went. I got the chicken alfredo which was a good portion size for the price ($12). I wanted to get a sandwich but was struggling to read the menu so I just went with something basic. maybe next time I’ll try again. it’s an interesting space and a good place to bring friends or family.
consider eating here instead of another particular chain that is known for Italian food. not only are the prices better, but they do not have Mario.

Aroma Cafe is the best place restaurant in Cleveland honestly. It’s someday hidden away, so no one ever knows about it when I ask them, but I’ve recommended it to everyone I know as my favorite restaurant. Mario is friendly as can be, and he always makes sure that whoever I bring with me is well fed. Tons of food for a good price too!

A hidden gem! A cozy place with just a few tables, so if you are dining in, it is a good idea to call ahead and make a reservation. The food is absolutely delicious – authentic Italian food prepared by an authentic Italian chef, who is also the proprietor. I had a pasta primavera, which was like no pasta primavera i ever made: the herbs and spices perfectly balanced, the pasta al dente, and a bounty of fresh sautéed vegetables. Definitely coming back, not only for dining in, but for take out as well.
