If you’re ever in Smithville, Missouri, this place is a must-try. The food was absolutely delicious—everything we ordered was fantastic. The wait staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. It’s definitely a hole-in-the-wall spot, but well worth the drive, especially if you’re already in the area.

The food here is outstanding! I think I’ve had everything on the menu. The pricing is great, the staff is nice and its clean. The lights could be a little dimmer to give it a more quaint feel. But it definitely won’t keep me from coming back time and time again.

Each course came out in perfect timing, our server was attentive but not intrusive, the food was AMAZING, and we didn’t have to drive downtown. I haven’t had a meal this good in a long while. The salmon and shrimp were perfect and flavorful but my favorite surprise was the bacon wrapped dates in a smokey sauce I couldn’t pick apart. The feel is more casual than the food but don’t let the vibe fool you. The chef knows what they’re doing!

Went during restaurant week. Their food was good, The steak was well cooked. The schnitzel’s sauce was full of mushrooms, but wasn’t as flavorful as it looked. The service was prompt and friendly. We had already started eating the mains when I took the pictures. The portions were appropriate.

This restaurant serves wonderful food! I’ve been here a couple of times and have not been disappointed with anything. Wait staff is so sweet and friendly. Food is fresh and well made. There are still a few days of restaurant week 2026 left. Get in there and try it out.

I give this a five-star rating in spite of the lesser quality service since the food is definitely A Cut Above what you would expect at a place this small. Our first couple of times eating there I didn’t have any complaints about our server so when I heard that it had a reputation of not having very good service I countered that with the argument that we had always gotten great service, but this last visit I had to go to the counter to ask for refills of my drink I had to go back and ask for more silverware I had to go back and ask for our bill and I noticed that the server was simply eating her own meal behind the counter or spending time on her phone and not being attentive at all to the people she was supposed to be serving.

Went for restaurant week brunch, the steak burrito needed freshness. Pico, sour cream something. We waited well over 20 minutes for a box and our dessert. Waited longer for our check and other dessert to go. Never asked us if we wanted another drink the whole vist. Don’t think we will come back
