This was my first visit since the renovation. Unfortunately, the updates make the dining area feel dull and overly gray, and the lobby now has more of a corporate chain restaurant vibe. That said, I came for the food—not the atmosphere.
Our server was very professional and attentive, and all of the food was served in a timely manner. The wedding soup was decent. We started with the stuffed banana peppers, and the sauce, cheese, and sausage combination was excellent. While the peppers themselves weren’t very tender and were a bit difficult to cut, I would still recommend the appetizer.
The portion sizes for the entrées were enormous. The Penne alla Vodka with shrimp was delicious, though I would have preferred traditional shrimp instead of butterfly shrimp. If you enjoy manicotti, I’d also recommend it—it was very tasty. The meatballs were tender and flavorful, highly recommend.

Service was fast. Told 15 to 20 min wait, but called back after maybe 3 to 5. Hot food. Filling portions. Both took food home.

The service by Brandon G was AMAZING. Super friendly and he went above and beyond. When I said the wedding soup was meh, he offered to replace it with something else, but I said it was fine. Not bad. Still edible.
Later, when he asked about the manicotti & I said it was amazing, he asked if it was better than the soup. I said it was much much better and that I knew next time I visited I’d get the Caesar salad instead of the soup. He said he’d bring one to go, since their Caesar dressing is amazing. I said that wasn’t necessary, but he brought one anyway. Wow.
Portions are very large (without the extra salad, my manicotti would still be three meals for me) & the food is delicious.
I like the look of the restaurant and was surprised to see that they had TV’s & a bar. Much nicer than I expected given the location.

We dined here on 6/18/25. The food was real good as was our waiter. I had the Meatball Casserole which was very good. My wife had the Steak special which she said was very good also. The restaurant was remodeled at one point and we didn’t like the atmosphere. It seemed too closed in were we sat at the first booth in.

Had dinner tonight with my husband to celebrate his birthday. We usually dine at the Caste Village location but the Moon location is closer to home. I had eaten at this location years ago after it opened. Tonight I was extremely disappointed with the food. My husband had an $22.50 Italian calzone which was very small and contained more cheese than meat. I had the $22.50 chicken Alfredo and it was pure milk or cream. This was not an Alfredo sauce! There was no butter or garlic and it lacked basic salt. I had to add a ton of Parmesan cheese (half the shaker bottles worth) to give it some cheese flavor. There was one small thin cut chicken breast which was decent and very tender. And for the price point, was not worth the money. A ton of pasta and one small piece of chicken breast.
Our server, Brandon, did an excellent job of taking care of us.
Unfortunately, due to the poor tasting food, we will not return to this location.

I haven’t been there in years since the remodel, but it looks amazing! The food is still as great as I remember! The service and food is top notch. It was a busy night, but we didn’t have any delay in our meal. The manager stated that it’s usually quicker, and gave us free dessert for the inconvenience! Definitely coming back anytime we’re around Moon, highly recommend! We got the buffalo chicken calzone and Cajun chicken and it was excellent!

We went to Armstrong‘s because we haven’t been there for a while, and the one in Moon Township recently has opened up for dine in which we did. The mushrooms with crab meat were very good. My guest ordered the special of the day, angel hair pasta with crab and vodka sauce. The portion was insanely, huge insanely, and the vodka sauce and dish were pretty much tasteless. I had the regular salad and added steak to it. It was also tasteless. The steak was overdone and the amount of spring mix salad was again way too big. They are losing tons of money by over portioning. I know this is Pittsburgh, but their portions are ridiculous and those dishes were actually very underwhelming.

Food is always good, big portions. But please update the online menu to reflect actual prices. For example: $18.95 pasta with sausage is actually $21.95; $24.95 Chicken Parm is actually $26.95.

My husband and I have been dining here for 25+ years and it is one of our favorite places. The food is always excellent with large portions, service is always wonderful, the desserts are amazing, but we do not love the atmosphere since the remodel – it feels smaller and more closed in now, sitting right up against the tables beside you. We just dined here yesterday and it was very crowded, the wait was about 40 minutes with very limited seating in the lobby area, so most people were standing and the area was very full. The service and food were wonderful as always though. I had the lobster bisque and the Penne Ala Vodka with shrimp which both came in a very large portion and they were excellent. We have tried most of the menu at this point and never found anything we didn’t care for, just truly delicious food. I definitely recommend this place but if you go in the evening, be prepared for a wait and keep in mind that they close at 8pm – we arrived at 6pm and we weren’t out of there until 8pm. They were turning away larger parties while we were waiting because they wouldn’t have had seating for them before they close, so try to go early, especially if you have a larger party.
