A party of 4 on a Sunday night and the service from the time we walked in the door was wonderful. We wanted a quieter location and were told (by our eventual server) to sit in the bar. Boy was she right. The dining room is small and gets noisy and crowded.
The bread was delicious and served cold (as is the custom in Schenectady). Appetizers were the greens and beans and shrimp oreganato, both wonderful, but very small portions for the price.
Salads included with the entrees, ample and fresh. Entrees were wonderful. The frutti de mare had TONS of shellfish in a great sauce and served in fettuccini as requested. Everyone took home at least enough for another meal. We passed on dessert.
The server was great. Only time this has happened but she came over with a bit more wine as she felt that the first pour was a bit short. Now that’s service!
Would be back for sure but probably on a less busy weekday!

Me and my fiancé went to Armando’s for a valentine’s day dinner. The food was delicious, I ordered their vodka sauce pasta and it was one of the best i’ve had in the area. But sadly our service was absolutely awful. When asking for their non alcoholic drink options she left out most of them and we only realized by watching other tables get their drinks. I understand valentine’s day can be a busy day as well so we let that slide. But then we saw multiple other tables who came in after us be helped before our food order was even taken. After we finally got our food our waitress never once checked in on us and we had to flag her down after being finished eating for 30 minutes just to receive our check. We were there for 2 hours and maybe 20 minutes was eating, the rest was just waiting for her to come back to the table. Our appetizer was honestly cold as well and I assume it had been sitting before it was brought out but the main dishes were hot. Im hoping this was just a fluke due to the busyness of the day but I personally won’t be back for a while.

This is a great place to eat. Everything on the menu is amazing. Professional service with a smile. Youll need a reservation unless you get there early enough to get a seat at the bar. Atmosphere is quant. Prices are reasonable and portions a big. You won’t leave hungry. I highly recommend this place.

I’ve never been there before!!????? She is an amazing asset to this restaurant !

I hosted an event with a large group of friends to celebrate a birthday. The staff took excellent care of us, and as always, the food was delicious – appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts. Armondo’s remains our favorite Italian restaurant in this area.

Great experience with a crew of 4 for dinner on a Wednesday night. Highly advise anyone who’s going to make a reservation. We waited about 40 minutes before we even got our salads due to the amount of people in the place. Italian wedding Soup was delicious. Bread was fresh and yummy. Main course was full of flavor and on par. I would definitely come back again.
