First visit to Armando’s Taqueria and it definitely won’t be the last.
The space has a fun, colorful energy, bright tables, bold artwork on the walls, and that easygoing neighborhood feel that makes you want to sit and stay awhile. It feels authentic without trying too hard, which is usually a sign the food is going to speak for itself.
I ordered the chilaquiles, and flavor wise they were excellent. The chips had great texture, the toppings were fresh, and the cheese and crema added that rich, comforting balance you want in a dish like this. The only small note is there was a bit too much sauce for my preference, which made it a little heavier than it needed to be. That said, the taste was absolutely on point, just a lighter hand with the sauce and it would be perfect.
The tacos were another highlight. Warm tortillas, well seasoned meat, fresh cilantro and onions, and bold, clean flavors. Simple ingredients executed really well.
Service was friendly, and the overall vibe made it feel like a true local gem. If you’re looking for flavorful, satisfying Mexican comfort food in a lively setting, this is a solid choice. Definitely coming back to explore more of the menu.

Order at counter and pickup dining experience.Enjoyed our food 6 tacos (steak,chicken, pastor, all delicious), a Mulita, and Burrito Supreme. Do not come here thinking American way of Mexican food. Similar to what you get in Mexico..so Authentic and FRESH! No cheese dip and tortillas coming to the table. Not even on the menu. Try the sister restaurant for that..Armando Caribe.

Small place but has options outside.

Hand made tortillas make or break a good taco. The meat here is algo good, and they have cebolla morada (pickled onions with habanero) to go on the tacos. Quick, friendly, and good food!

The food is sooo good! Pretty decor, nice staff, and reasonable prices. I got the chicken flautas, barbacoa gordita, pastor taco, and flan. Everything was so yummy. It’s pay at the counter and try the onions at the salsa bar if you go~

I got the elote and chicken torta
Both were good
I enjoyed the filling in the torta and that they had it w grilled chicken, just wished the chicken was slightly more flavorful
Overall it was good and I recommend checking it out!

The meat quality has unfortunately gone down here and I will not be back. The asada taco, which I have purchased from here many times had fatty bits l
All 3 people who ate the asada taco agreed that tonight the meat was stringy with fat bits. Also they increased price of tacos from $3 to $3.45, so higher cost and lower quality.

Be careful going through the drive thru. Was told my order total was $40.16. She swiped my card and didn’t give me a receipt but that’s ok I didn’t necessarily want one. I later looked on my credit card and I noticed I was charged $50.16. So the little girl at the drive thru gave herself a $10 tip without asking. I would have gladly added a tip myself had she given me the keypad thingy but she didn’t. The food is good here but the dishonest tactics cause me to give one star.

Went to Armando’s Taquería with my husband right after leaving another very bad mexican place in Lawrenceville. The Taquería was very clean; tables, floors and surfaces. The food was good. Some dishes were a bit on the bland side, but we loved everything we ordered! The green pozole was great! Full of corn and tasty! The crispy asada tacos were delicious.
They have a nice outside seating area and a good atmosphere. Service was excellent.
Music was at a nice volume and appropriate for all public. The restrooms were clean as well. Plenty of parking spaces and wheelchair accessible.

Came down to Duluth from Tennessee and I came across this little taqueria in Duluth. The tacos were so good. The salsas had the right amount of spice and the location was cute. Service was quick and I got to enjoy this delicious food in their outside seating area. If I’m ever back in Duluth, i will be sure to come here again.
