Armando’s Mexican Restaurant in Santee, SC absolutely nailed it! Our food came out piping hot and tasted amazing. And Enrique was incredible super attentive and on top of everything from start to finish.
Honestly… restaurants in big cities need to do better, because the small towns are showing them how it’s done. Armando’s is a perfect example. Five stars across the board!

The food is ok but be aware that you will be charged several fees and a tip for “to go” orders. We were charged nearly an extra $7 for a $20 order. The cashier’s barely speak English and they may have tried to tell us about the fees but I only understood maybe half of what they mumbled. I pressed no tip on the card reader but was charged anyway. I’ve tried to add up the receipt but I can’t figure out how they came up with the total. The food was brought to the register but they never told us it was ready. After a LONG wait (and it wasn’t busy)we had to ask about it. Our church sometimes meets there and we will participate in that, but I won’t be ordering take out again. If a business is adding fees they need to make that clear up front.

Excellent, from the homemade taco shells to the margarita. I had the Abera taco. Which consisted of four with beef and dipping sauce. Outstanding.

We recommend this restaurant with our eyes closed, everything we ordered was very tasty, they have offers on drinks and the service is of excellent quality. Thank you very much for everything and keep it up. We wish you the best of this world. We hope to come back very soon.

Great find. The service was quick and friendly, the food was delicious, and the drinks were on point. It is quite large and has an outdoor patio. There are TVs throughout, so you can watch your fave teams, and the music is upbeat. You have chips and salsa as soon as you’re in your seat. The Mexican Street Corn was great, as were the margarita flights – available on the rocks and frozen (and of course we did one of each). Lime, strawberry, mango, and blue (yep, that’s the flavor ). Delicious. And you can’t beat the prices. If you’re looking for vegetarian options, there’s more available than what you see in the menu – including potatoe tacos and burritos. Plus the beans are vegetarian friendly.

I hate to leave anything but a great review for anyone but I can honestly say it was by far the worst Mexican food I have every eaten. Served cold for starters and I’ll agree with the other reviewer the chicken is from a CAN. After seeing many other great reviews we decide to try it.
