As cheap as the special is here, you can’t expect artisan pizza. And the special is CHEAP for 2 huge pieces of pizza with a healthy portion of toppings. However, there was SO much grease on my smaller pizza and on of the big slices my wife got the dough was wet, not in the least bit crispy or even cooked it seemed.
One of the big pepperoni slices has thicker crust that had been baked crispy enough that it actually tasted good and held up well under all the toppings. We still had to use napkins to get all the grease off the top, but again, this isn’t artisan pizza.
That being said, I couldn’t stomach more than 2 slices of the smaller meat lovers pizza. The grease gave me a stomach ache instantly. I took it home so a lot of the grease could soak into the box (it couldn’t hardly soak in, there was so much it pooled up on top) and reheated it in a toaster oven to crisp the crust up. It was definitely better this way, but still ridiculously greasy in the middle after losing so much grease already.
This place has potential, and for the price of the special we’ll give it another try sometime, but we waited nearly an hour for our food bc our order was entered wrong and they still charged us full price for pizza that quite frankly was far too greasy to be good. If they could figure out how to get 75% of the grease out and get their crust crispy, this place could be incredible.
We got the chicken bacon ranch and the 20″ The Pop. The Pop feeds 10 people and has a TON of toppings
If you are in the area, this place is a must for you to try
Now on to something a bit more important, the prices.
The prices here aren’t as egregious as other places, but they aren’t exactly what I’d call cheap either. This definitely isn’t a place to being the whole family to unless you have enough money to cover the 16 inch pizza(s).
*I will add a photo of their take-home menu that features their current prices as of Early February 2020
Highly reccomemd!!!!!
Now that I’m off my soapbox let’s get down to it.
I’m a New Yorker, which by default mean I’m an expert when it comes to pizza. Don’t even try to argue, it’s a god given talent and the truth.
The ARPC staff could not have been friendlier, and their food had that “taste”. You know the kind that you remember and crave again and again.
Pizzas are great, sandwiches are amazing and the shakes are made with real local Arkansas produced shake mix…
I hear they are getting a soft serve machine and I can’t wait to come back and try the amazing flavors that I know the owners will have for us all..
Bottom line “Don’t Miss”
