My wife and I are always looking for the “right” pad Thai and most often come out disappointed. Our visit to Ariyan on a date night did not disappoint hands down the best pad Thai in Des Moines. We also had a specialty roll, papaya salad and mango sticky rice to go. All of which were equally amazing! The service was personable and prompt. We loved it so much we have returned a 2nd time… again! Amazing service, we love that this is a family owned business (sister, husband and brother) we feel we have made a connection with great people. Once again, food was fresh and delicious. We couldn’t not have the pad Thai again (next time im trying the pad see ew- I hear its phenomenal) we had a Kani salad and papaya salad thank you for the wonderful and consistent tasty and joyful experience. See ya next time

Hands down the best pad Thai and papaya salad in des moines. Such great service, amazing food presentation, stellar taste and wonderful pricing.
Also got the mango sticky rice to go because we were so full. Can report that the presentation was just as good as the flavor. Highly recommend.
10/10. Felt like a taste of home and comfort wrapped up in a new experience.

I had a great experience here. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The service was friendly, attentive, and made me feel very welcome. I’m from Colombia, and I truly appreciate good food and hospitality — this place exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it

If I could give zero stars I would! I am a proud Beaverdale native and love to support our local restaurants. I hadn’t been here yet since the owners changed and booked a table for Valentine’s Day. We were seated promptly and then ignored for more than 30 minutes. No water, no check in from any staff, nothing. We got up and left then saw another couple that was ignored also leave as well. I understand valentines is busy, but that was unacceptable service and I do not plan on giving it another try. Also, multiple customers came in and ordered from the bar while we were seated. These folks that walked in had more service than we did.

We’ll definitely be back! I ordered a specialty roll that was fantastic and the pad see ew with chicken, which was also delicious. The spice level 2 was just right. Highly recommend trying this place — can’t wait to come back and sample more dishes!

A buddy and I wanted to visit Oh Sushi since we hadn’t been there for a while, but we were surprised to see it was bought and renamed to Ariyan. We tried it and damn, this place is solid. The sushi is a step up from what Oh Sushi was: rolls are bigger, ingredients are fresher, and the price is pretty decent, even a bit cheaper than other places like Wasabi.
