What a gem! We both had the spicy duck ramen and it was without a doubt the very best I’ve ever had. The ingredients were fresh and incredibly tasty and staff were very attentive. Everything was immaculately clean too. We will definitely be back soon.

I have visited this restaurant twice, and each visit confirmed that it is a place of exceptionally high culinary standards. The quality, flavour and consistency in execution make it stand out clearly from other venues.
I had the opportunity to try the prawn ramen and the steak ramen — both dishes were perfectly balanced. The broth was intense, deep in flavour and ideally seasoned. The prawns were juicy and cooked to perfection, while the steak was tender, aromatic and of the highest quality. Every element of the dish was thoughtful and harmonious.
The sushi box also deserves special recognition and proved to be a true feast. The ingredients were of absolutely top quality — fresh fish, perfectly cooked rice and excellent flavour compositions. The tempura prawns were the best I have ever had: light, crispy, not greasy, perfectly seasoned. You can clearly see the level of experience and attention to every detail.
The experience is completed by beautiful presentation, very good service and a pleasant atmosphere that makes you want to return. This is a place that offers not just food, but a complete, well-refined culinary experience.
I fully recommend it and will definitely be coming back again.

Such a lovely relaxed dining experience. A small, delightful restaurant, surprisingly busy for an early midweek evening. Food was just delicious. We had the tempura prawns and gyoza followed by chicken teriyaki soba noodles and teriyaki ribeye. Everything was perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Definitely a new favourite restaurant in Newbury.

Nice Japanese restaurant. The nigiri was good. The ramen wasn’t quite as good as I’d hoped – the broth was a bit disappointing and I found the inclusion of lime and red onion a little odd, but overall it was still good (the beef was very nice)

We received a warm welcome from the owner, Chef George, and his entire staff upon entering the restaurant. The edamame starter was freshly boiled, and lovely drinks were served. All the food, including the seaweed salad, the sushi & sashimi platter, tempura, goza, ramen noodles, bento box, and desserts, was absolutely delicious and of high quality, with impressive presentation. The service was outstanding, with a friendly chat and a welcoming atmosphere that made our special birthday celebration dinner out enjoyable. We highly recommend this place and are delighted to have this exceptional, high-standard restaurant in Newbury!

Fantastic restaurant with phenomenal food that’s beautifully presented.
Had visited on the fly back in June and George delivered the food to my table personally and explained the dishes.
This occasion my partner and I sat upstairs Saturday evening for my Birthday and ordered a selection of small hot plates and sushi. Service was prompt and food came fast after ordering. Very nice table with a view from upstairs to watch the sushi chef craft the dishes.
Will defiantly be coming again when visiting Newbury.

Tried the Chashu pork ramen, which was full of fantastically soft pork belly, and the pork cutlet poke bowl.
Both were wonderful and full of flavour. Highly recommended.
