Curry Katsu was great – crispy breading, tender inside, and good flavor in the curry. Atmosphere/decor inside is a modern and clean; overall a solid spot. The sushi was good too, but I only had a couple pieces, so I can’t really give a valid review.

I recently visited Ariake sushi restaurant in Fairfax and had a great experience. The food was excellent – high quality sushi with amazing flavor. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel welcome, especially Jacob. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the prices were reasonable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an excellent sushi experience.

This is my all time favorite place to eat ever. The sushi is so fresh and anything you order will be good. Some of the best rolls and nigiri that will leave you already planning your next visit. The staff is amazing and so kind. Jacob makes you feel at home and we can’t appreciate how hard everyone works here. Ariake you have my heart!

I been coming here since they opened. I really love this place! Best quality and most reasonable priced around Fairfax. I usually order A La Cart and try everything that’s on their special menu when I visit. The photo shows the sashimi platter that I hand picked all the pieces for me and my 2 friends. Sashimi tasted fresh and melted in your mouth. I would recommend paying extra for the fresh wasabi if it’s available. The fresh wasabi has a more mild taste and slightly different texture I felt it complimented the fatter sashimi pieces better. The appetizers we didn’t remember to take a picture of the Shrimp and vegetable tempura and Hamachi Kama with ponzu sauce but it was grilled to perfection and it came with this slightly spicy tomato paste that complimented the grilled fish well. Shrimp and tempura came out hot and fresh. Vegetables were cooked and not mushy. shrimp tempura was crispy and tender inside.

Foods were just ok. Pricing are reasonable. Services are fast and friendly. We got sashimi and sum seafood soup. Sashimi was kinda fishy imo and seafood soup was very bland, they did give sauce to dip the seafood but it was vinegar sauce so the whole soup thing was a weird combination honestly.

Enjoyed a weekday dinner here. My seafood nabe was hot and fresh and the citrus dipping sauce was alright. Maguro dinner looked good but I don’t think I like tuna that much in one meal. My daughter on the other hand could have ordered two dinners.

This is my favorite sushi restaurant in NoVA. Quality & service here is consistently amazing. You really can’t find melt-in-your-mouth fish like this anywhere else in the area! They source their fish directly from markets in Japan and you can taste the difference.
