Food
What makes this place so special is how the chef takes the dishes you love and gives them thoughtful tweaks. It’s almost as exciting hearing someone else describe those refinements as it is savoring them yourself.
The hamachi is always pristine. The beet salad strikes that perfect balance we crave. The seared foie gras is decadent and never disappoints. The steak and frites—featuring tender filet mignon and hand-cut fries—hits that sweet spot between elevated and comforting. The sole, topped with breadcrumbs and sautéed shiitake mushrooms with a cauliflower medley, shows the chef’s restrained touch. And the poundcake with lemon yogurt is the ideal finish—bright and not overly sweet.
This version emphasizes the familiarity and reliability of the restaurant while still celebrating the chef’s subtle refinements.
Aria inspires us to return to a place that honors favorites while keeping things interesting.
Knew it would be a great meal when we tried the bread. Perfectly sweet, perfectly salty, and you can’t help but spread that butta all over.
The pork belly appetizer was melt in your mouth, the lobster was lovely albeit small, but the cabbage rolls were our favorite starter for sure. Loads of flavor.
My wife loved the braised short rib which and I went with the steak frites. Gotta save some cognac peppercorn sauce for your fries.
Finished with the Grand Marnier Chocolate Cake and the Pear and Ginger Bread Pudding which were both delicious, especially paired with a glass of Madeira.
Overall great meal at an Atlanta staple!
Our server was thoughtful, attentive and polite.
The atmosphere was intimate but got loud when there were a lot of large
Definitely recommend to spend your day here!
The flavor combinations were inventive and pleasing and yet still homey and warm. Every detail was meticulously executed. I especially recommend the sole and steak. The warm cheesecake was a highlight.
The vibe? Upscale, intimate, effortlessly cool. Now let’s talk about our server — Mr. Kim. When I say amazing, I mean AMAZING. Funny funny (not forced), attentive, professional, and clearly in his element. He earned every single penny, and his team backed him up seamlessly. You can tell he’s a veteran — I believe he’s been there over 10 years, and it shows.
The seeds on the table were messy lol — I was genuinely upset I couldn’t eat them all without making a scene, but worth it.
Now the food… whew.
The crab cakes are to die for. I couldn’t decide on one entrée, so we did what made sense — we ordered three:
• Sea scallops – cooked beautifully
• Short ribs – rich and comforting
• Steak – perfectly done
No regrets. None.
Dessert sealed the deal. The sorbet was incredibly fresh — two scoops of passion fruit and one lemon. And the lemon cake? Clearly made in heaven by heavenly bakers with angel hands. That’s the only explanation.
Aria delivered on vibes, service, and flavor. This is a place you come back to — and quietly tell your favorite people about.
When we went in October last year, we noticed the usual tasting menu had changed. Some dishes were the same as before, so we ordered them, but the flavors were different.
The previous hamachi and Fuji apple carpaccio was simple yet truly delicious — one of my favorites — but this time it was quite ordinary. The salmon in the past had always been cooked to perfection and was outstanding, but this time the fish course was not very impressive either.
Our favorite focaccia has also been replaced with a seeded roll (caraway seeds?) covered generously on top. Both the flavor and texture were better before. When we visited last March, it was still the same as always…
The sautéed foie gras we ordered as an addition was absolutely delicious, so we won’t give up — we’d like to come back and give it another try.
Please consider bringing back the original focaccia
It was the best bread I’ve had at any restaurant in Atlanta.
