Argentino Las olas was awesome. As someone who lived in Argentina for 2 years, this place is super authentic. Restaurant owner is very kind and welcoming. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I got the milanesa and a variety of empanadas. If you want legit authentic Argentine food, this is the place! We also tried their alfajores, they were delicious as well. The whole family enjoyed the dining experience. The only thing I would say for improvement is the signage out front, it is easy to miss if you are not looking for it. Also, I enjoyed the fun atmosphere and all the pictures and signs, as well as the Argentine decor. Messi needs to try this place.

I was in town to see Messi, and this restaurant was the perfect way to complete the trip. My son really loved the pizza, and I enjoyed the milanesa. If you are an Argentina fan or just a soccer fan in general, you will love the atmosphere and seeing the numerous photos of different players.

We are so happy we stumbled upon this place! (The restaurant we had chosen wasn’t open yet!)
The empanadas are magnificent! So many to choose from & a great variety of vegetarian choices. The staff were all so kind & friendly…felt like we were eating with family! This is a local business with authentic food from Argentina, you will not want to miss! Excellent prices! And, if you are just walking by, they will sell you an empanada, all kinds, from a cart in front…to take with you, $5!

Empanadas are something I obsess over, so seeing this place as I was walking around downtown Ft. Lauderdale made it a must stop. All in all, I feel like my expectations were half met, and half let down. Let me explain: I tried 4 different empanadas in total- the hawaiian, the spinach and ricotta, the caprese, and guava and cheese for dessert. My mistake was trying to Hawaiian for one of the first bites, because man was that empanada out of this world! And let me also say I am NOT a believer in pineapple on pizza, I think the savory of pizza and sweet of pineapple need to stay separate, but in this empanada for some reason the little pineapple bits meshed perfectly with the ham chunks, and just wow it was fantastic. Because that one was so good, the other ones just didn’t really stand a chance. The caprese one was okay, but the ricotta and spinach I did not like at all, I felt like I was being choked by all the spinach and there wasn’t really any other flavor. And lastly, the guava and cheese empanada was pretty darn good as well. I am a huge fan of guava flavored things, and though this combo may sound odd to your typical American, trust me when I say you gotta try it at least once. Overall, I’d definitely come back and just have a bunch of the Hawaiian empanadas and a guava and cheese to top it off.

They specialize in empenadas, but not the fast food kind. Great dough. Fillings were spiced well. I tried the beef, pork, and pepperoni. Each was very good with a totally different flavor. They came stamped with a brand telling me which was which. Staff was super-friendly. I saw flatbreads and sandwiches on the menu too. Soft drinks were from cans. It is on Las Olas, so not cheap eats, but not super expensive. Would certainly go back.

The food was good, beer was cold, and staff was nice (although more preoccupied with their own conversations than the service) but it was extremely overpriced. $14 for 3 empanadas and almost $80 for a small plate of meats and a tiny salad. It’s advertised to be enough for 2 people, which it may be but definitely not what it should cost.

It’s a small restaurant and has some nice empanadas. For the very 1st time, we tasted blood sausage, and it was unique! The skirt steak, however, wasn’t that good. It was a bit chewy, even with a medium cook

Great place, super friendly atmosphere.
Great service and the food was good. I ordered grill provolone cheese, spinach and ricotta empanadas and cheese with onions empanadas.
My favorite was the choripan (Argentinian sausage sandwich)which was served with a delicious chimichurri sauce and Argentinian salsa criolla.
I super recommend it!

We visited this restaurant last week while in town. The food was good, and the service was also very good. So I’d give it 4 stars for that only.
Our bill merits 1 star. We were changed a 20% “service fee” and were expected to leave another “18-20% tip. When we asked our waiter he said that because the area was touristy all the restaurants were doing the same. We left him and 18% tip but he lied!!!

So I would say if you go, expect to be overcharged an additional 40%. That’s robbery. None of the other restaurants on that same strip steal from customers so blatantly.
