Argana opened on W 23rd Street earlier in the year, though I did not have a chance to try it before it burned down. The photos and article I read really made me sad I never had a chance to try it.

Love visiting Argana Cafe! The food is flavorful and not too heavy. The falafel is the best I’ve ever had, the order comes with more…we had already sampled some before I took the picture.

I’m obsessed with this food! The complimentary tea while we were waiting for our order was wonderful. The chicken shawarma entree was HUGE and amazing (chicken was slightly dry but flavorful and the sauce it came with was delicious). The hummus is great. The meat trio entree was fantastic. And don’t even get me started on the Baklava. It was delicious and extremely unique! Can’t wait to come back and try more!

This place is fantastic!!! The food is amazing and the atmosphere is beautiful. It’s bright and breezy while still being romantic and well-decorated. I had the chicken shawarma wrap with the side salad and both were excellent. Just the right amount of spicy! I would give it six stars if I could. Plus it’s right across from the Raven, so you can grab a book to read over lunch.

I almost never write reviews, but it was the first thing I wanted to do after taking a bite of my shawarma wrap. It was flavorful, fresh, and above all delicious! The decor is bright and welcoming, and the customer service is great both over the phone and in person. This is my new favorite local restaurant.

We had the lamb shank and beef kofta sandwich. Both of them were really good. The service could have been better. We had to do everything ourselves from ordering the food at the counter to getting the silverware, to-go boxes etc. They only brought the food to our table but we had to tip them like regular. I read other reviews where people were offered tea while waiting, nothing like that was offered to us. Overall we will go back for the food but not for the service.

I’m a big foodie who’s travelled and tasted cuisines all over the world. Mediterranean being my favorite, I don’t think I’ve tasted better Lamb and Beef gyros. Combine it with the authentic couscous and you’ve got yourself a real Moroccan experience. My son loves their Shawarma and Fries!!! They’ve got something for every age group. The owner is a real nice person.

The gyros are authentic – as good as you can get in Greece! The owner is very nice and gave a complimentary cup of soup while waiting for our food New Year’s Eve. We love the pita and the Tsatziki sauce. Any time we are visiting Lawrence we try to stop by.

I’ve never been there but I ordered food two times. In the first order, the carrier did not go get to food and owner of the restaurant brings it to me. That’s priceless. The food was good. I highly recommend their beef kofta sandwich but not a fan of the chicken Shawarma Sandwich. The soup (lentil) is made from green lentil. It’s okay but nothing special about it. The only thing you should not try is the baklava. It’s not the original baklava and serve peanut butter roll. I’ve never seen it before. It’s a good place to grab a sandwich.
