Arepas House is fantastic Venezuelan comfort food spot. I ordered the patacón with two perfectly fried plantains. It was crispy, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. Definitely a must try, and I will be back for more.

Update: The business responded the next day offering a refund, and that helped me feel seen. I appreciate Arepas House commitment to quality control and customer satisfaction, and have changed my review from 2 stars to 4.

I usually love this place, but when I got home with my takeout order my arepas was made incorrectly. I asked for the vegetarian with no tomato and not lettuce, but they also left off the plantains! Also, there was barely any cheese on it, and like ONE slice of avocado. I’m super disappointed and upset because of the price I paid. I basically got an arepas stuffed with spicy black beans.

Arepas House is hands down my favorite arepa spot in the Denver area. Located inside Edgewater Public Market, this Venezuelan eatery serves bold, comforting flavors that hit every time.

I tried the spicy chicken arepa (amazing heat + guasacaca sauce!), pabellón arepa, taqueños (so gooey and crisp), cachapa (my new obsession), plantains with cheese, and the loaded petacón sandwich. Everything was delicious and super flavorful.

The portions are generous, the service is friendly, and the vibe is casual and welcoming. If you’re looking for authentic Latin food in Denver, this is a must-visit.

We finally made it to this place. The arepas had really good flavor and good size for the price. I got full with just one, but I think the only thing I did not like was that it was carbs over carbs, since it had the black beans, and the fried plantain. My stomach felt it was too much at first, when I first ate it. The refreshing drinks are also a must try. Maybe next time I will share it with someone else.

First, I truly believe that food can be an emissary of culture. I wish the news would highlight this hidden gem and the warmth of the Venezuelan people, whose country and culture are rich and vibrant.

With dietary restrictions, I started coming here frequently when I first moved to Denver in 2021. Since then, I’ve brought seven different friends and family members, and for my wife, who is also gluten-free, driving from the foothills to get an arepa has become a weekend tradition.

It’s often hard to find places where we can both eat, but whether it’s at Anschutz with their food truck or in person at Arepas House, it continues to be our favorite spot.

I can’t get enough of these Arepas. They are so flavorful! The chicken, shredded beef , avocado, beans, cotija, plantain are so fresh and delicious. My 5 and 2 year old will end up sharing a whole arepa and I will eat a whole one on my own.

If you’re looking for an authentic Venezuelan dining experience with top-notch service, look no further! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The service was incredibly fast without sacrificing quality. Our orders arrived quickly, and everything was fresh and delicious. The staff was not only efficient but also genuinely kind and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely amazing! The arepas were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the cachapas were sweet and savory. Overall, it is a must-visit. If you want great food, speedy service, and friendly faces, this is the place to be. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Quick service and impressive arepa! Similar to a gordita but bigger and stuffed with Venezuelan typical ingredients. 1st one and all the fillings were great the meat was seasoned well.

First time at Arepas House and tried the Patacón, which is like a giant sandwich with fried plantain as the pieces of bread. It was decent but awkward to eat, especially with the plastic cutlery provided. Plantain seems over fried and too dry. The inner ingredients were tasty but def coming back to try the arepas next time. ‍♂️ Ordering is a bit impersonal with screen only and option of the app. People behind the counter seems a bit indifferent to customers.
