We ordered the fried pork belly platter, churros, and a blondie latte. Everything was really good, and our server Valentina did a great job. Highly recommend!

I wonderful way to try Venezuelan food. The service was excellent, very helpful in understanding what some of the items were. The food was delicious, different flavors. We had some coffee while we waited for our takeout. Chocolate truffle coffee was good but we couldn’t taste the chocolate in it and later found all the chocolate on the bottom of the cup. The chicken and beef meat plates were good along with the flavorful black beans and white rice. The arepa with their version of chicken salad was good and different tasting especially with the arepa being a plantain base. The empeñada, we tried three different, chicken, beef and cheese with the green sauce was very good. We also ordered a dessert of sweet plantains, which was not worth the money. There were 7 slices of plantain that were in like a caramelized sauce, mushy texture and not appealing.

We went to have a late lunch at Arepas in MSU. We had to walk for over 20 min. We were really hungry but thought the walking was worth thinking of the good experience we had before in the location at the Cotton district. Well, it was terrible. The place looks more like a coffee place. Arepas are not in the menu! However, were displayed along something near the cashier. After waiting for somebody willing to take our order, we were told they offer arepas but not right now and in a while. We asked why if we saw somebody was pulling out arepas likely from a fridge and heating them up in a microwave. Now at this point two employees said the person in charge of preparing arepas was busy taking care of a party of people and it would take a while before we can get service. We replied that there were not awfully a lot of people and didn’t understand why it would be a problem to serve us. They just shrunk their shoulders and gave lame excuses. We left even more hungry and frustrated because they we not even making fresh arepas, they were just reheating them up frozen. They really should reconsider the name of location if they cannot prepare fresh arepas or even heat them up. Altogether is the worst service we experienced so far in town. Avoid this location at all cost, it will be a waste of time and likely an awful experience.

Good Venezuelan food in an unexpected small city. It is Venezuelan food with a kick of originality. The menu offers options for all tastes. Go and try it, I am sure you will like it. The arepas are the most popular dish in Venezuela and they offer several good fillings. Coffee lover? There are also good options for you, some with booze. It is a small place, not recommended for people who use of wheelchair. There is street parking. The street is super cute. The owner is the chef and he and the servers are friendly and the service is fast.
