Some of my favorite Latin food in the Thurston County area. The Ropa Vieja is incredible, and the plantains are so perfectly cooked. I cannot recommend trying it enough!

Yucca fries are so crispy and light. They should be a thing everywhere. They come with an unusual garlicky oil to dip in which was delicious.

Puerco Patacon included nicely balanced, fresh ingredients: crispy hot pork, bright, cool veggies, cheese and cool sauce. I loved the fried plantains. It was very good though next time I’ll try the shredded beef instead.

There are outdoor tables with no cover.

Crispy corn battered meat pies. What’s not to like. Veggy too if you’re into that. Plantains are wonderful too. There is also a cider place in court with a large selection to go with your food

I got the Reina (avocado chicken salad arepa) and it was very good. Good amount of food, although my only complaint is the price. I really wanted plantains as a side but the total would have come out to ~$20. Was nice out so seating was good. Service was quick.

Arepa is a little gem you have to try located on the corner of 4th Ave in Oly. First off, the Owner is a fantastic chef and his food will have you hooked. Everyone on staff is very welcoming. The steak and fries are mouthwatering and it is some of the best perfectly steak and fries you’ll ever have with amazing homemade Chimichurri sauce. The Carne Patacon is absolutely delicious as well, fried plantain topped with shredded beef, angel hair cabbage, avocado, pink sauce, and crumbled cheese. The fried plantains are so good also! I absolutely love the food there! During the summer, there is outdoor seating and it is so nice to sit outside to enjoy your meal. I highly recommend Arepa, the food is amazing & highly quality restaurant style. The food truck is very clean kept & they provide great service. Limited parking is available in the lot as well as street parking nearby

Tried the burger and seasoned fries and really enjoyed everything! Burger was cooked well and basic but I still liked it. The fries were crispy and delicious! I will def be going back to try some of the other items on the menu! This is a food truck by the way so you have to park on the street and walk up!

The reviews looked good and I love Latin food so I had to try but this was a not so well visit , Had the ropa vieja bowel(shredded beef w plantains, black beans & rice) , 2 empanadas (chicken & beef) and tostones (deep fried plantains)
My dislike were the rice and beans ; some of the beans were hard and the rice was peeling with the bowel so the texture was not it …ended up throwing majority of the bowel away . The tostones were very un-eatable they were hard to the point you couldn’t bite in it nor chew. Only good buy was the shredded beef & empanadas. Besides that , service was ok asked question about something they were willing to explain.

I’m giving 5 stars because they loaded it up!!! Check out the pics. So much pork. No skimping here…and it was delicious!

I visited on 5/26/20 in the middle of the pandemic, and it was a bit different. Not much going on. They don’t accept cash for now. Be aware when you pay with card, there is a $0.75 convenience fee. As I’m sure their business is already hurting, I can’t complain – just a heads up.

Overall, the food was delicious and the service was fast. I live in Seattle, but I’ll be back next time I drive through Olympia!

Carne arepa was good. The bread could have been a little more toasty in my opinion, but it was good regardless. Costs $8 but does have a lot of meat inside. Tasted like carnitas, which I love. The fried plantains were good too.
