The food is well presented and the seafood is fresh. The service is professional and consistent with what you would expect from a venue of this level. Everything feels well organized, from the lighting to the overall attention, and it’s clear the focus is on delivering a complete experience rather than just a meal.
Kid-friendliness: Not a kid-friendly place, as the atmosphere and music are more suited for adults.
Wheelchair accessibility: The venue has wheelchair access.
Overall, it’s a very enjoyable spot with a great atmosphere and a spectacular view, perfect for a special night out or to enjoy Miami from above.
The service was the worst part. Our initial table was awkward. When we requested a simple change, the tall server actually tried to gaslight us, dismissing our concerns about the seating placement. He only moved us after my husband intervened.
Once moved, he rushed us to order with no patience. After our food arrived, no one checked on us again—my water was never refilled, despite the staff tending to surrounding tables.
I ordered the Maine Lobster Egg Benedict ($32). For that high price, the eggs were completely overpoached—a fundamental mistake for a dish where a runny yolk is essential. The lack of technique is astonishing for a hotel restaurant charging these rates.
With rude service and poorly executed, overpriced food, do not waste your money here. Skip Area 31 entirely.
I ordered eggs benedict and they were quite expensive, but delectable nevertheless.
The main reason I came here anyways, food aside, was for the view, which I was not disappointed by. I have attached a few pictures so I will let you be the judge of that.
Only criticism is that the parking wasn’t so easy, but definitely would do again.
Breakfast:
Positive: Good portions and food was decent. The servers were very friendly.
Negative:
1. it seems like the food is made pretty quickly, but then it sits out on the counter under heat lamps for 10-15 min. This happened both days. The people next to us complained that their food was cold and then got up and left without finishing their meal.
2. There was usually a 30 min wait for breakfast even though there were SO many empty tables.
3. I got an egg white omelette both days. Second day it looked completely different (which is when I realized day 1 it was probably just a regular full egg omelette, even though I paid extra for egg whites)
4. Day 2 they forgot to put an ingredient I ordered into the omelette but they never came back to check in on us, so a second day I paid for something I didn’t get.
Lunch:
Positive: Service was quicker than breakfast and they being you the food directly to the pool. The servers were extremely friendly
Negative: I ordered an 18$ Caesar salad that seemed like it cost about 2$ or less to make. Honestly my fault, but totally not worth it.
The service was superb (shoutout to Pedro who was the friendliest server and was always so lovely to us!)
We didn’t have any food here in the evening but it smelt and looked amazing.
The evening bar has a great atmosphere and superb staff who can serve great drinks quickly.
Rudy is just absolutely the best…whatta gem!
Highly recommended.
