We’re a small family owned restaurant that sells authentic Mexican food. We were previously known as Gorditas de Plaza Latina or Acroiris De Sabor Y Comida within Plaza Latina. What sets up apart is that we make handmade tortillas, grill our steaks and chicken on an actual grill, serve traditonal Mexican breakfasts, and make fresh menudo/caldo de res each weekend. Somos un pequeño restaurante familiar que vende auténtica comida mexicana. Anteriormente éramos conocidos como Gorditas de Plaza Latina dentro de Plaza Latina. Lo que distingue es que hacemos tortillas hechas a mano, asamos nuestros filetes y pollo en una parrilla real, servimos desayunos mexicanos tradicionales y hacemos menudo / caldo de res frescos cada fin de semana.

This place doesn’t look like much on the outside, but please dont let that discourage you. It almost did my wife and I, but we decided to give it a try. We were so glad we did!. The owner and his wife couldn’t have been more welcoming or gracious. They treated us warmly when we entered and seated us immediately. Their menu is not as expansive as some, but the food was absolutely incredible!!. It wasn’t the usual fare that you get at most restaurants serving “Mexican Food”. This was the real thing!! Tortillas are homemade and made right there! Sauces are made from scratch and everything tasted like real, authentic Mexican cuisine. This is one of a kind, and I hope everyone who wants to experience excellence in Mexican food, gives this place a try! Next time we are in Memphis, it will be our new “Go to” place! They even serve breakfast! Can’t wait to try that!

My mother and I went to celebrate Mother’s Day and were met with very good and authentic Mexican food. The atmosphere was very clean and comfortable. At the end of our meal the server came out with a complimentary dessert, gift, and balloon for my mother. This made the experience even better.

My family and I stopped in for a late lunch after doing some business nearby. We are not from Memphis, and have never been to Arcoiris Mexicano before. We just wanted Mexican food and this place has good ratings on Google. If you’re looking for the standard Americanized Mexican restaurant fare, this might not be what you’re looking for. However, if you want authentic food you might find in a street cafe in Mexico, this place is a gem. The birria tacos are some of the best we’ve ever had, the chicken tacos were delicious, and the two types of homemade salsa served with them matched flavors perfectly. The hibiscus and pineapple agua frescas were fresh, full flavored, and delightful. Our hosts came to our table, welcomed us as first-time guests, and told us a bit about how they prepare their food. Tortillas are handmade, and taste like the delicious street food one of our party had in Honduras. They were grilling asada fresh on charcoal while we were there. The menu includes household cuisine hard to find on most standard Mexican places. This place is awesome. Come eat here and visit the good people!

Easily the best mexican food I have had since moving from California to Mississippi. Gorditas fritas are delicious. Their carne asada is fresh juicy and melts in your mouth. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good food.
