This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. We dined as a group of six and enthusiastically ordered our way through a large portion of the menu; simply because everything sounded irresistible. Every dish delivered. I already know we’ll be back, especially to try the paella, which we didn’t get this time but have heard is outstanding.

The salads were incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the quail, steak, pork, and mushroom dishes were all beautifully prepared and full of depth. And the desserts? Truly unforgettable; worth saving room for.

The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance: warm and cozy like home, yet refined and sophisticated. Soft music in the background adds to the charm, making it an ideal spot for a romantic date or a relaxed family dinner.

Service was attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. Highly recommended; this is a place you’ll want to return to again and again.

Creative, beautifully balanced and well executed high cuisine comes to Wenatchee!! Owners Lucas and Rocio meld their German and Argentinian-Basque backgrounds to create layers of flavor, textures and temperatures. Absolute symphony of savory, sweetness, acids, fat, starches, protein. Reservations recommended!
Beautifully updated interior with a well curated music soundtrack: jazzy, bluesy, Latin beats…love it.
The appetizers were creative and exciting! Delicately seared scallops with sweetness of shredded jicama, pineapple and potato with crisps. Entree: The steak was perfectly seared, sliced and topped with a bright chimichurri on a subtle turnip purée and topped with pomegranate and delicate crisps (Argentinian).
The porchetta came with pork medallions wrapped in super crispy pork belly and paired with a finely shredded cabbage and a super mild but briny cabbage wedge sauerkraut (very low acidity) (Germanic).
Don’t forego the dessert. The cranberry eclair is such an inspirational dessert! What a well balanced and subtle dessert. Cranberry sorbet, eclair pastry, pistachio cream and a cranberry crisp.
Just wow! NCW needed Lucas and Rocio. Welcome!!

Fantastic dinner and atmosphere! The ambiance was lovely and our waitress gave us some history about the building. Pictured are the OG Tapa (empanada), carrot fritters, and the shitake mushrooms with delicata squash. Highly recommend for a lovely date night or night out with friends.

Would be interested to try this place again in a few months. Super cool vibe. The food we got was good but very small portions. I also wish they had cocktails, it would be a great place to go and have drinks but all they offer currently is wine, beer & cider. We got the steak, halibut& quail. My friend did get food poisoning from the quail so won’t be getting that again.

I finally had the chance to dine at this much-talked-about restaurant, and even though my friends weren’t able to join me in the end, I decided to go anyway — and I’m really glad I did. From the moment I stepped inside, the space felt welcoming in a different way than most small restaurants. Instead of relying on dramatic ceilings or flashy décor, there’s a calm, modern coziness here: soft lighting, thoughtfully chosen art, and a layout that makes each table feel a bit like its own little corner. You can tell care went into creating an environment that encourages you to slow down and actually savor what’s in front of you.

Service followed that same theme — present when needed, never pushy, and genuinely knowledgeable about the menu. I appreciated how confidently they spoke about where ingredients came from and how the dishes were composed, without it ever feeling rehearsed or pretentious.

I ordered several plates so I could really get a sense of the kitchen’s style, and there were some real highlights. The quail was outstanding — tender, juicy, and deeply flavorful, with a beautifully crisped skin that added just the right amount of texture. It was paired with a kale and fennel salad that completely exceeded expectations. The fennel brought a gentle anise note, the kale was massaged just enough to lose its toughness while retaining character, and a light citrus dressing tied everything together. It felt fresh, seasonal, and intentional – it was so tasty that I found myself wanting a few extra bites — but I would absolutely order this again.

Dessert delivered its own kind of comfort. The warm chocolate cake arrived with a lovely shot of mulled wine on the side, and the pairing worked wonderfully: the spices in the wine played beautifully with the richness of the cake. Flavor-wise, it hit all the right notes. If I’m being honest, I just would have preferred a slightly more luxurious, melt-in-your-mouth texture — something a touch more decadent. Still, it was an enjoyable ending, and I didn’t leave a crumb behind.

Another thing I really appreciated was the clear labeling for allergens and gluten-free options. It sends a strong message that everyone is welcome at the table — not always the case in higher-end dining.

My only real disappointment had nothing to do with the food or hospitality. When my credit card processed the charge, it coded as a caterer instead of a restaurant, which meant I didn’t receive my usual dining reward points. Not exactly a culinary flaw, but definitely a frustration — and something I hope they’re able to update going forward, because loyal and cultivated diners like me notice things like that.

Overall, though, this place feels like a thoughtful, much-needed addition to the Wenatchee Valley dining scene. The cooking shows creativity without gimmicks, the flavors feel layered and purposeful, and there’s a genuine respect for ingredients and local suppliers. Even dining solo, I left feeling taken care of — and I’m already looking forward to returning, hopefully with friends next time, to explore more of what the menu has to offer.

We had such a great night here. The ambiance is warm, stylish, and lively without being loud — it feels elevated but still relaxed.
The food was incredible. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. Executive Chef Ludgerus is clearly so creative — the combinations felt thoughtful and unique without trying too hard.
And Tessa was wonderful. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind, which made the whole experience feel seamless.
We’ll definitely be back.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner, sharing several plates including two appetizers, two entrees and a delicious chocolate cake for dessert. We started off strong with the carrot fritters followed by the scallop carpaccio, both excellent in flavor and presentation, and the fritters ended up being the highlight of the entire meal. The scallops were buttery smooth but the overly soft purple potatoes they were served over offered no texture contrast, that was my only critique here. We followed this up with the Halibut entree paired with a very flavorful green curry sauce and bok choy. This dish was wonderful, and I would indeed order it again, however a more generous portion of the vegetable would have been welcomed. Next was the crackling pork, the only menu choice that we both agreed we would not make again. Despite an appealing presentation, the rolled pork slices contained mostly fat and very little actual meat. The braised cabbage and sprinkle of cashews was also a little underwhelming. This was only a minor disappointment in an otherwise stellar lineup, and we finished on a high note with a warm flourless chocolate cake coated in a perfectly sweet pink frosting, marinated cherries and crumbles of candied orange. The small shot of warm spiced wine on the side was a perfect ending. I also really appreciated the abundance of gluten free options and clear labeling of allergens on the menu.
Keep in mind that this restaurant is very small, only allowing for a few tables on each side of the narrow room, so reservations are highly encouraged and this would not be a good fit for larger parties. The high ceilings and whimsical splash of color from the stained glass inserts really add a unique feel to the space. The service was spot on… attentive but not overbearing… and the chef thanking us and walking us to the door was a memorable touch. I love this addition to the Wenatchee Valley culinary scene, finally a restaurant that does justice to the amazing local farmers and suppliers we have here in Washington.

10/10: food, service and aesthetic. What else do you expect from this incredible team?

I’ve eaten Chef Lucas’ food for years. Whenever you look at him, he is 100% heads down, focused on the food. Until? He comes over to your table. Then he is 100% focused on you—the consummate chef.

Also, none of this would be possible without the vision, energy and organization of Rocío. For them to now have their own brick-and-mortar gifts us the canvas for their talents.

These two are changing the game—bringing community to high-end cuisine, a phenomenal team who puts everything they have into the restaurant. We are lucky to be their patrons! I’ll be back next Friday!

I’ve been a fan of Szmania’s cooking for quite a while now and have been dying for Archive to open for ages. The wait was completely worth it.

As expected, the food was absolutely amazing. The carrot fritters were a delicious surprise, the crispy noodles were savory and perfectly balanced, the house wines were fantastic and the desserts were unreal. Lucas’ unique use of ingredients, flavors and beautiful presentation are a fresh addition to the valley. Every dish was prepared perfectly and I had an impossible time picking my favorite course.

For any folks wondering, this is one of the few places where the vegetarian/vegan were so satisfying I would be happy to make a meal out of just those.

While I expected the food to be great, I was pleasantly surprised by a few other things.

Firstly, the value was outstanding. I’ve had meals half this good cost two or three times as much. This was the most bang for my buck ‘fine dining’ experience I have encountered anywhere near Wenatchee.

Second, the atmosphere they’ve created in such a small, personal space was chef’s kiss perfect. From the thoughtful decor and great lighting to the tasteful music kept at just the right volume to have nice background ambiance without having any issues whatsoever hearing your dining mates. All of this together creates a cozy, elegant space that really made us feel like we were treating ourselves to an experience.

And last but certainly not least, the service was too notch. Our server was attentive, observant, knowledgeable , and had fantastic recommendations on the menu (I never would’ve tried the carrot fritters without some encouragement and boy am I glad I did.)

Our first dining experience at Archive was a perfect 10/10 and it will definitely not be our last. We’ve actually already reserved another night with some friends!

Archive made for a perfect date night and I’m positive they’ll leave a lasting mark on the valley foodie scene.

Kudos to a job well done!
