I’ll try the octopus if they have it. Loved the flavors but needed to be cooked slightly longer. Will order again just ask to cook longer. Had the short rib and gnocchi, the meat was tender, the sauce flavorful. Husband ordered the chicken mushroom veloute and the chicken was flavorful, mashed potatoes were brilliant! Service was excellent. I don’t think I’ve gone to a restaurant in old town and wanted to go back. I want to go back! Thank you.

This was our first time dining since the transition from Espadin to Archive. The design & decor choices were eye catching and well done. We had high hopes, but unfortunately were disappointed. The meal and quality of service, didn’t match the price point. The menu is limited, which may not be for some. We liked a few of the options. We chose the grilled caesar salad, short rib & gnocchi, and the burger. The presentation of each dish was great. Unfortunately, both of our entrees were heavily salted. The burger included a mystery salty black sauce that didn’t seem to make sense with a burger. The short rib was great, but the sauce was incredibly salty & the gnocchi lacked the proper texture and flavor. The cocktails were great & the saving grace in our mind – I’d recommend the Vulture Culture. Our waitress was a sweetheart, but wasn’t as attentive as you’d hope when dining in. My drink sat empty for some time, & I had to flag her down to order another. They were not busy, and most tables were empty. After our meal, she asked if we’d like dessert, to which we said no thank you, and she immediately walked away. I intended to order another drink, but she gave no opportunity before bringing the check. Sure, I could have not paid and asked for another – but the overall experience solidified our decision to leave instead. Eating out is expensive nowadays, and I’m understanding of that – but I don’t feel that our experience was worth the cost of the bill.

THE FOOD—3 Stars, at best
The steak—while the final meal presented was good, it did require to be sent back to be cooked a little more because it was too bloody and not quite a perfect medium. However, once the cooking instructions were met, we enjoyed how tender and well seasoned it was.
The Short Rib w/ Gnocchi—the short rib was tender, but could have had a little more seasoning to offset the blandness of the dry, cold, and tasteless gnocchi that it was served over. Honestly, not even the extra sauce that was poured over the meat and on the plate could make the dryness and dullness of the rest of the meal enjoyable.
Caesar Salad—definitely the highlight of the night and meal! The salad was season to perfection and wasn’t too wet or dry. The salad was crunch and fresh, yet the dressing and other ingredients were perfectly paired with the salad. Yum!!
Shrimp Cocktail—enjoyed the coldness and freshness of the shrimp and the twist on the homemade cocktail sauce that came with it. Delish!!
Grilled Octopus—this one gets a mixed review again, as it could have used a little more flavor in the sauce it came with. However, the octopus itself was grilled perfectly. So overall it was good.
THE SERVICE—2 stars, and I’m being kind
And perhaps it was because it was a busy night, but the service was less than good. We were sat at a dirty table and it took asking a busser, a waiter, and the hostess to get it clean, took over 20-minutes to just get our drink orders in, and were completely overwhelmed when our main courses came out at the same time as our appetizers. So when we actually got to our main meal, it was cold.
OVERALL—2.5 Stars, not worth the value
So overall, the meal would get a 3 out of 5 stars. And the service would get less than a 2. Not sure that spending over a few hundred dollars on a date was worth the hype.
Perhaps it was an “off” day for the staff and restaurant, but we were disappointed that the experience wasn’t a better value to what we spent.

I usually don’t write reviews but this experience was really horrible. Let me start by saying our server was great, he did wonderful. The moment he came to our table we ordered our food and drinks immediately. My husband and I ordered one old fashioned – which he said was very unenjoyable, it was filled with ice and looked like a shot lol the server reassured us they must of ran out of the big ice cube. We also ordered 2 side salads. These were the saddest side salads I’ve ever had/seen. It was a bunch of mixed greens thrown on a plate, with some sliced red onions, couple cucumbers and couple tomato’s with hardly any dressing. And charged us $15 each, I couldn’t believe it. We had ordered 2 burgers the moment we sat down a well and it took an hour. We had our 2 toddlers with us and it was absolutely MISERABLE because how long it was taking. We got there at 5:30, like I said ordered immediately and probably got our burgers around 6:30-6:45. Ate super quick, asked for the check, paid immediately and was out of there by 7:10. We also ordered the kids food right when we sat down and it came out right after the burgers which is unreal. Every restaurant I go to they get the kids food out immediately because they know how kids are. I was super disappointed. The burgers were just mid. Really nothing special. Overall I’m sad to say I won’t be going here again unfortunately and won’t be recommending this new restaurant. Not sure if they have kinks to workout because they are brand new….
