My brother Jason and I are always exploring places we haven’t been yet. That comes to restaurants as well. A weekend in NEPA almost always included the amazing pizza options we are blessed from living in an immigrant community that started wayback when coal mining brought people from all over the world.
That said, our Italian community always shows up with all the different styles of pizza found here from Old Forge style, Pan fried Sicilian, New York style, thin crust, and bar pies and all the styles in between. As good as they all are, nothing is more comforting than the ultimate peasant food. A tray of red or a tray of white. Since we have been eating at Arcaro and Genell since we were kids, it only seemed fitting to finally give Arcaro’s the Next Generation a try. My apologies for waiting so long. The current owner Francine Arcaro had dreamed of opening her own restaurant. She has been chasing that dream since 2018 serving great pizza and Italian food. There is more to share with her personal story, but this isn’t the place. I just wanted to tell anyone in NEPA or those visiting, get over to Pittston Township and see how perfectly Old Forge pizza is represented at Arcaro’s the Next Generation. All the Old Forge type pizza places in our area all tweak there recipes by changing up the sauce, mixing the cheese bends and varying the crust. We tried a tray or red and white. Both were amazing. Trying to decided which tasted better is like picking a favorite child – impossible. Order both. Loved there red. Perfect ratio of crust, to sauce to cheese ratio. That creamy cheese blend was to die for. I won’t give away any secrets, but anybody in the know could narrow down that creamy cheese bland. We complimented our two trays of pizza with a cold beer on tap a s side of Stromboli (wink wink). Always love going home with leftovers. Two much for two brothers, but we sat there in this well lit, super friendly, well decorated place any truly enjoy a cut from heaven. Old Forge Pizza is a perfect NEPA tradition. Whether it is on Main in street in Old Forge proper or the surrounding towns. It is a treat that should be indulged in every weekend. Stop by today and eat-in or grab it to go and bring along to your favorite event! Highly recommend Arcaro’s the Next Generation. Can’t wait to try their gnocchi and other pastas on our next visit. Be a part of history and eat some Old Forge pizza today at 2 Bryden Street, basically at the corner of Oak Street and the Pittston ByPass.

PRICES ON MENU DONT REFLECT PRICES ON BILL!!! When questioned about it, without hesitation, the answer was, “Prices are subject to change!” Almost like they answer that question, 1,000 times a day!!! Mild wings didn’t have much flavor, and fish & chips wasn’t that great. Was surprised that a semi fancy bar/restaurant serves packets of tartar…When I asked for extra tartar sauce, I was given 5 small packets…for 3 pieces of fish, and fries. When I asked for more, they brought 2 more …. White Russian was very good, but at $7 for a small glass, filled with ice, I didn’t want a $70 bill, for fish, fries, and drink.

We ordered several different items for takeout and was very happy with the experience. They were very friendly on the phone and got our food quickly when we arrived. The food was delicious and very well prepared. I look forward to trying more items here and would definitely recommend trying something.

My Wife and I stopped for Dinner. Italian Stromboli was delicious, dough and ingredients were very good. Shrimp and peppers pizza , crust was crispy on bottom, lots of toppings. Server was very nice.

1st time there – we had eggplant Parm which was excellent came with generic spaghetti (I think its should of been better quality pasta). My friend had a small stromboli which could feed 2 people and was excellent. Service and atmosphere was good, nothing fancy but nice, prices are comparable to that area. Will definitely go back again.

Never ordering here again. Food was late, arrived cold, and the restaurant blamed the delivery guy – which I highly doubt it was his fault. If they can’t handle the volume, they need to get rid of DoorDash, etc. Quality is more important than quantity.

Ist time ordering and had high expectations. Arrived before time. Pizza was done and cool. Part of topping was burnt. Sauce was almost non existent. 12 cut tray was only cut in 6 slices. VERY dry. Ordered extra onions but there was less than 1/16th cup and apparently placed on after the pizza was cooked. Also was the last time I will order. Too much money for dry bread.

Not gonna lie I definitely only frequent here because of the cheap pricing on wing night.
& I’m OBSESSED WITH THEIR TRIFECTA SAUCE ITS SOOOOO GOOOOOD!
unfortunately this isn’t a raving review
Story time:
Typically since me and the hubby frequently here so often, I don’t look at my food every single time or check out my food before eating only if it looks different or bad vibes you know the deal.

(I am a waitress in my spare time so I inspect my food Thoroughly… by habit.)

Well tonight we attended for wing bite night great prices great flavors! Good new waitress …
Definitely nothing wrong with that BUT,
They do serve you when you sit down with bread & oil vinegar to dip in.
Definitely one of my favorite parts about this place!
We eat our bread, in the first serving of oil /vinegar I find a fruit fly so I’m like ok.
Weird I’ll just ask for more it happens.
Second serving, two more flies.
The waitress apologizes shows me the bottle they used, showed me they poured it out of and says they need to get new toppers.
They didn’t realize that was happening and they rinse the bottle out and made more… All is well & dandy. Sounds good to me! Glad we noticed.
We continue munching on!
At this point I’m on edge though, for good reason..

So as I’m going through all of our food, I FIND ANOTHER FLY IN MY BITES YALL.
Idk bout yall but 2.50 /5.00 bites ain’t worth eating fly larva and flies
The waitress didn’t even offer to knock a buck off the bill.. free soda… just a sorry we fed you flies … we washed the glass after serving you SERVERAL flies lol.
im so sad we’re going to miss this place

I also have terrible food phobia so that really did it for me.
