I was only customer in the dining room on a Friday night. I ordered the #1, Beef N’ Cheddar meal. The employee was friendly and efficient. Had trouble with my name, but he seemed ok when I made a joke about my name. He asked me about any sauces, due to dispensers being out of order.
The order was ready before I could fully dispense my drink, so very fast. I was pleasantly surprised.
The food was hot and fresh, with no complaints on taste. The lobby was clean and organized, with no signs of trash or unclean tables.
The atmosphere was not bad until an employee had an issue with a few people just hanging out in the lobby. The music changed to rap/hip hop with inappropriate language and at a very loud volume. I could hear a manager not very happy and telling his employee that there was a paying customer in the lobby. The music did go back to a decent level.and switched to the original genre that was playing as I entered.
This was an uncomfortable experience and I can’t recommend anyone to dine in. I do hope that manager can turn this around, as I don’t want to see a business fail. Other businesses in the area were pretty busy. I would love for Arby’s to enjoy being busy as well.
My mom and I stopped in to pick up food for my uncle and myself. Uncle was intrigued by the fish deluxe sandwich on a flyer but wanted to get the 2 for $6 deal, which offers a crispy fish sandwich. Upon telling this to the manager, all he said is different sandwich, go pull up and that will be $12 and change to account for adding basically TWO cheese and tomato slices – for $6 more.
A proactive employee would simply ensure the order was right or explain along the lines of “The crispy fish 2 for $6 deal is a smaller fish sandwich, not the Deluxe.” or take two seconds to state.”Okay, a Fish Deluxe with Cheese and Tomato added comes to $6+. Would you still like to go with that or the 2-for-$6?”, or “Sorry, that’s a different item.” All reasonable replies to a potentially confused customer – not just “ok pull up. “
I totally understand the urge to get through customer lines very fast but there is also tact to ensuring a customer is ordering the right thing, especially if they are not 100% sure with an order. The manager in charge did none of that and simply told us, “It’s nothing I can do. It’s corporate’s rules.” A couple seconds of explaining would have helped to solve this minor situation. It just feels frustrating expecting to get a $6 meal and instead have it come to nearly $13.
Leaving this review purely for the experience of poor communication to a customer.
The actual fish deluxe sandwich, however, was quite large and tasty. No issue with that.
