So, when I stumbled upon the recently -opened Arby’s, right off of Ruby Lockheart in Lanham/Largo, I was overjoyed. I had been DYING for some Jalepeno bites & Broncoberry sauce for months at this point. It was the 4th of July, no less; I decided to treat myself.
I have been back ever since, every 3-4 days but there’s more to this Arby’s than simply being an “Arby’s”.
Situated in the newly-built complex off of MD-202 & St. John’s Ln/Ruby Lockheart, it can easily & immediately be accessed via the I-495 exit off of 202/Upper Marlboro, almost as soon as you exit. Located within the same complex is a Chick-fil-A, a Lidl Supermarket, Chase Bank, as well as a number of other food & retail outlets within the same location, including the new location of the Banfield Pet Hospital, formerly located inside the PetSmart in Largo, MD.
Pulling into the complex easily directs you immediately to the drive-thru, which is usually sparse or empty, making it great for a quick meal stop. The prices are what you expect from Arby’s for the quality, but what really stands out are the employees & the food.
The employees, esp in the evening, are super personable and friendly as well as accommodating, and the food? FRESH. I don’t think there has been a single time I have gone there and not had to wait a few extra minutes (1-3 at most) for the joy of fresh mozzarella sticks –which, btw, always have that juicy mozzarella pop to them when you bite into one right as the heat sears the inside of your mouth but so totally worth it. The #2 Classic Double RB is absolutely stacked with flavorful roast beef that makes Roy Rogers taste like sandpaper and ash in comparison; you will get no thinly-meated sandwiches here, folks!
With the Chick-fil-A right next to it, it struggles to draw in business from those seeking a familiar chicken sandwich, but maybe on a day, when you happen to see Chick-fil-A packed, per usual, you *might* consider giving this Arby’s a try.
AND GET EXTRA BRONCOBERRY SAUCE. It’s just delicious in general. Trust me on that one bruh.
The only downside? If you happen to have the Arby’s app, while it acknowledges the store I think, perhaps, because it is so new I have always had my orders rejected via the app for that location in particular, while working fine with other established locations. This isn’t really a problem, since the location is rarely busy, but it can be frustrating if you like discounts & deals, like I do.
So, go get you some meats, friend!
