Stumbled upon this place while stopping for a break and wow was this an amazing find! We tried the chocolate pie and the coconut pie and they were both amazing. I wish I had grabbed a few of the frozen pies to try later. I’d highly recommend taking the stop and grabbing a few flavors and enjoying them .

I saw the sign on the freeway and decided to check it out. I am glad I did. Their pies are made fresh daily and they have a great selection of local treats and crafts. I got three pies, some locally made chocolate and some peach cider. If you’re in the area, check them out. The service was outstanding as well.

So far I have only tried the lemon pie and it was delicious. The filling was the perfect balance of sweet and tart and the crust was light and flaky.

Love these pies! Every flavor I’ve tried is amazing, especially the coconut and apple!

The employees are always really sweet! Just wish these pies were made fresher. Seems they are batched in large quantities and end up getting cold on the shelf.

Try the Pecan Arbuckle Fried Pies! Sometimes the pies are cold when you get one, even though they are made fresh daily. I like mine HOT! But there is a microwave over by the coffee area you can use to heat one up. YUMMY! Apple is good heated up, too!

I was really looking forward to these pies. We ordered blueberry, cherry, chocolate, and peach. There was hardly any filling and the crusts were so undercooked that they fell apart in your hands. The service was decent but I can’t recommend this establishment.

It’s a gas station, with a Fried Pies spot. Fill up, get some fried pies, and continue on your way. The fruit fried pies are kind of messy so maybe eat those before getting on the road unless you’re a sloppy type with food crumbles and trash strewn about your car interior. The pudding fried pies and good to eat on the road. The chocolate pie and the blueberry pie are the stars of the show. Leave a blueberry pie for me!

Definitely something different as far as truck stop fare goes. They sell them from frozen-warm so take a few to go.

Sweet Moses this place. STOP HERE AND GET A PIE OR 12. I found myself unsuspectingly driving up to this shop en route back to Denver, when my delightful children requested their 75 bathroom stop. Never have been as thankful for their bladders.

These pies are so wholly delicious I’m shocked the rest stop is able to sell anything else. We purchased a coco custard, blueberry, strawberry and blackberry. Our favorite so far was blackberry. WOW. Yum!

Stopped by Arbuckle Mountain Fried Pies in Alma and tried the peach, strawberry, and blackberry pies – absolutely delicious! The fruit fillings were generous, flavorful, and just the right balance of sweet and tart. The crust was warm, flaky, and golden, exactly what you want in a fried pie.

That said, they can be a bit messy to eat on the go – especially while in the vehicle. It would be great if they served the pies in a small paper bowl with a spoon to make things easier for travelers. That little change would really elevate the experience without taking away from the homemade charm.

Still, the flavor alone is worth the stop. Highly recommend if you’re passing through Kansas on I70.

Absolutely delicious, I devoured the coconut and peach pies. The crust was flaky and light. The fillings were rich in flavor. A must have when passing by
