I came to this place because it was rated top five hotdogs in the US. Didn’t really know what to expect. Got there exactly at the time they opened 10:30. Had to wait about 10 minutes, maybe 15 till the cashier was ready to take my order. Not really expecting much from my hotdog restaurant. I’m just a punctual type of person. Who is it my peeve? Ordered my two favorite hotdogs. Honesty felt like I make a better Chicago dog at home. They forgot to put one ingredient, which is the celery salt at the end. Felt like my Chicago dog looked a bit skimpy on the meat. Also felt like Portillo‘s has a better Chicago dog. After that I went for the New Yorker, which did taste good. Unfortunately, it was nothing different than what I make at home. The dogs did have a good snap. Each hotdog is a little bit over five dollars and some change. Only really went because it was recommended as a top five place. I figured it was mentioned as that because of the nostalgia and history it holds. Otherwise, if it taste and looks like a hotdog, it’s just a hotdog. For the price total of when I paid I think I would’ve gotten a much more filling meal somewhere else. I honestly think it was about an average experience.

My friend introduced me to Arbetter’s Hot Dogs, and he said they’re so good you can’t just get one. He was absolutely right! I ended up getting two. The Marlins Original Dog and the Chili Cheese Dog. Both were delicious and served at affordable prices. Even though there was a line, it moved quickly. The place is full of character and it had a nostalgic vibe. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving a classic hot dog experience.

As someone who considers themselves a true hot dog connoisseur—having tasted dogs across Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Boston, and New York—I can confidently say this joint stands out as one of the best. The vibe is nostalgic and full of character, with walls that have seen legends from movie stars to Muhammad Ali.
What truly sets this place apart is the quality of the beef hot dogs—rich, flavorful, and hard to come by these days. The variety is impressive, and each bite feels like a throwback to the golden age of street food.
If you’re anywhere near Miami, do yourself a favor and stop by. Even if it’s just once, it’s worth the trip for the experience—and that perfect, no-nonsense, real beef hot dog.

A Classic Gem That Never Gets Old
Arbetter’s has been serving up delicious hot dogs since 1959, and every visit feels like stepping back in time—in the best way possible. The retro vibe, quick and friendly service, and unbeatable variety of hot dogs make it a true Miami staple.
Whether you’re in the mood for something classic or want to try one of their unique twists, there’s something for everyone. It’s one of my favorite spots to take my daughter, nothing beats sharing great food and even better memories in a place with so much history.
If you haven’t been, you’re missing out on a timeless experience!

If you like hotdogs, this is the place to go. If you want a Sabrette hotdog this is definitely the FL place to go! This is a must stop for me when I’m in town. The main order taker is a bit cantankerous but, part of the charm. The fries are also great. It’s old, small and crowded and helps to know what you want in advance. I keep meaning to try the corndog but can’t resist my NY sabrettes. I’m not a chili fan but everyone raves about it. Maybe next time. LOL
