They got the tv’s off all the time? I personally like to watch something while I eat, but the red rice is good here better then other Mexican restaurants around. Hopefully they get more tvs on and entertain the customers

Araujo’s is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants in San Jose! I just learned they started as a food truck and grew so popular that they now have three locations. After trying it myself, I can see why!

The food is unbelievably fresh. I tried all their tacos and was blown away by the flavor and quality. The tortillas are handmade fresh to order, and you can really taste the difference. Their carne asada is made with USDA-choice steak cuts and cooked over real mesquite charcoal, which gives it that amazing, authentic smoky flavor. I also ordered the molcajete, and it was loaded with perfectly seasoned meat, shrimp, and veggies. Such a hearty, satisfying dish!

On top of the incredible food, the restaurant itself is super spacious and very clean. Even the restrooms were spotless, and I loved the cute sink area!

Highly recommend Araujo’s if you’re looking for authentic, high-quality Mexican food in San Jose. This place is a gem!!

A different kind of Dine-in restaurant. Food was good and filling and priced for a nice inexpensive dining experience with a pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff and the Mexican Coca Cola

We haven’t had Mexican food for about two months, so we were excited to check out @araujosmexgrill. The place was really clean and definitely a cool place for watching sports bc there’s a big screen TV!! (1501 Berryessa Rd, SJ.)

Some of our favorites were the Super flour quesadilla with carnitas and Carne Asada Fries with some sour cream and salsa! The food feels healthier and not greasy at all, which is a bonus.

“Feed me Tacos and tell me I’m Pretty!!”

I was craving authentic Mexican food and came across Araujo’s Mexican Grill on Berryessa Rd. Their signature dish, the Molcajetes Mixtos, is a feast of mixed meats, cheese, and a quesadilla, served in a massive stone bowl that keeps everything hot from start to finish. It comes with chips and tortillas, so you can build your own tacos—I made one with everything, and it was incredible! The portion is huge, easily enough to feed three to four people. I also tried the Carne Asada fries, and what stood out was the curly fries, which kept the toppings elevated and crispy. The serving size was perfect for satisfying late-night cravings, and they were generous with the avocado and sour cream. Pro tip: Order the fries extra crispy to keep them from getting soggy under all the toppings.
The salsa bar has everything you need to customize your meal, but beware of one of the orange sauces—it seems mild at first, but the heat kicks in after a couple of seconds! They also serve fresh Mango, Horchata, and Strawberry Agua Fresca daily, which pairs perfectly with the meal. To finish, the flan was rich, creamy, and not overly sweet—a perfect way to end the feast. Plus, their big-screen TV makes it a great spot to catch a football or soccer game while you eat!

This is my families go-to mexican spot. Their tacos are with handmade tortillas and they have a great selection of salsas to top them with. My favorite is their Aguacate salsa , it’s perfect! We also get their sopes and yesterday we tried the barbacoa instead of Asada it was so juicy. My kids love their horchata so that’s always a must order. Another go-to order is their Asada burrito, their asada is cooked over fire so it’s not too greasy and it’s cooked perfectly . The service is great here and you recieve your food in a timely manner. The whole experience at Araujos is worth the time and money! If your into sports they also have big tvs that play certain games that are playing.

I recently visited this Mexican restaurant and had an amazing experience! From the moment I walked in, a friendly lady greeted me with a warm smile and took the time to explain the food options. After hearing her recommendations, I decided to go with the Molcajetes Mixtos, and it was absolutely delicious! Served in a hot pot, it was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was welcoming, and everyone around seemed to be enjoying themselves with smiles all around. I highly recommend this place—great food, great vibes, and excellent service!

We enjoyed our experience at Araujo’s. Plenty of table spaces inside with a limited number of outdoor seating. Parking can be found under the Platform apartments. We had an assortment of food that included their homemade beverages and the flavors didn’t disappoint. The best value for our buck for our family were the burritos because of price for portions. Al pastor meat was very tasty. They had a good sized projector near the back to watch sports and a salsa bar. We wish chips were included with the meal but next time we will order them to fully enjoy the salsa.

I ordered a super burrito for takeout. After paying, I noticed on the receipt that a 20% tip was automatically added, even though I explicitly skipped the tip option during checkout. This felt very misleading.
On top of that, when I asked for an explanation of the meat options (they were all listed in Spanish), the staff could not explain in English what the meats were or how they were prepared. That made ordering unnecessarily difficult.
Between the unexpected tip charge and the lack of basic communication, the experience was frustrating. I won’t be coming back.

Finally tried this place. Parking was a bit hard, but oh is it worth it! First impression, the staff was very welcoming, the environment was clean. We decided to dine in our first time. So the food was fresh. Everything me and my family tried was 10/10. I had a super taco (lengua) & a super burrito (asada). They don’t have a stingy hand. Everything was packed and full of flavor. I respect places that do that. You get your moneys worth and then some. My wife absolutely loved the flautas plate. My daughter had a bean burrito (no cheese) which she liked. My son usually doesn’t like burritos but now he’s a fan, he also enjoyed the Super Burrito Asada. I went back the next day. I loved it that much, tried a super taco (tripa). the salsa bar is 10/10 I really enjoyed the avocado sauce. I’m excited to try something else. I usually go to Jalisco’s Taqueria but everything is tinier there. When I think of a super burrito, I’ll now think of this place! Nobody does it better. And they don’t fill up their super burrito with lettuce like some places do. You’ll have meat with every bite. Props to the cooks! You can tell they love what they do, because you taste the love in the food! I appreciate that as a customer. Keep it going staff!
