One of our favorite places. Best beef dumplings in town! Also very tasty potato salad. Highly recommended.

This is real Mongolian restaurant!!! Good job our meal was amazing. This is what real Mongolian meal is for Mongolians and others, not like Chinese food made for Americans named Mongolian or great khan whatever. If you want to try real authentic Mongolian meal here it is and it’s worth it. Thank you for delicious dishes!!!

So good. Big portion, mid range price, fast service, and delicious. Food came faster than McDonald’s. Very nice and big portions are good enough for any size man. If you are looking for some awesome soups and real Mongolian food with mutton and beef, this is the place! Tsuivan has lots of meat. Four big dumplings (mantuun buuz) are as big as McDonald’s small size burgers. Service was fast. Side road parking is available. I think parking is the downside of this place. Other than that this is a hidden gem in LA.

MONGOLIA (via Eat the World Los Angeles) – If you have ever found yourself traveling through Mongolia, by train, bus, or even inside your own car, your most vivid memories probably all have the lingering scents of lamb dusted over them. The animal is a part of almost every meal, and is in various stages of being cleaned and cooked wherever you go. Opening the door of Arag Mongolian Cuisine is a pathway straight back to the country, starting with the aroma of lamb that hits your nose with that first step inside.

I stopped here during my short lunch break, and I was amazed at how quick and efficient the service was without losing friendliness. The build-your-own bowl concept was fun, and the beef and noodle combination I picked was packed with flavor. The restaurant was clean and organized, with a calm atmosphere that gave me a refreshing pause before heading back to work.

My introduction to Mongolian cuisine was amazing! The lamb khorkhog here is nice and soft, with a nice spiciness level. The beef dumplings are super juicy and flavorful. I do wish the khorkhog had a little more spicy peppers, but overall a really nice restaurant.

Authentic Mongolian Flavor at Its Best – Arag is a Hidden Gem!
I recently visited Arag after hearing about their newly updated menu, and I’m so glad I did—what an incredible experience!
From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed with warm hospitality and a cozy, inviting atmosphere that sets the stage for something special. The updated menu truly celebrates the essence of Mongolian cuisine while offering a fresh and thoughtful presentation.
I tried the Tsuivan, a traditional Mongolian noodle dish, and it was absolutely phenomenal. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the meat was tender and flavorful, and the blend of spices brought everything together in the most comforting way. Every bite felt like a warm embrace from Mongolian culture.
Whether you’re familiar with Mongolian food or trying it for the first time, Arag is a must-visit. The quality, authenticity, and heart in every dish make this place stand out. I can’t wait to come back—and bring friends along to share in the experience!
