The food is delicious and authentic, and I say this as someone who had lived in an Arabic country for years. They provide a casual, attentive bistro-style service and atmosphere where the food is prepared to order in an open kitchen, great for those who aren’t in a rush during lunch to savor the cuisine. Highly recommend.
Excellent food, made with care and great ingredients. I dream of their quiche and omelet.
It is a restaurant (really the only one I feel in Boulder) that cares about food and feeding people well and is not solely in it for the business.
I appreciate that they are closed on Sundays and only operate for a few hours every day. It may seem inconvenient but I hope invites us to pause and reflect on our relationship with food and eating out.
You’ve had baba ganouj before, but not like this
You’ve had chai before, but not like this
I could go on. This restaurant is a masterpiece. Every item on the menu is unique, artistic and delicious.
The bread is baked right there and served hot !
I only had a weekend in boulder and I came to eat here on both days. The owner makes everything herself, from scratch. Everything is made with love, history and skill.
My family can vouch for the chicken & lamb shawarma, quiche, omelette, the cheese lady, baba ganouj, hummus, chai.
I cannot say enough good things.
I ordered the mid east sample dish: baba ghanous, hummus, fresh in house made pita bread, grape leaves, tabbouleh, and chicken shawarma. The hummus’ freshness with the pita bread blew me away!
If you like chai, you MUST try the chai here. It’s fresh grind. The best chai I’ve ever had, no exaggerating.
The apple juice was freshly made.
The omelet is super tasty if you love spinach. Lots of spinach.
Finally, their baklava that was made fresh this very morning was delicious. Reminded me of the homemade baklava back home.
I have added this place to my favorites.
